Title: My Pastor will be Leaving our Church in June
Post by: Constance on February 18, 2011, 02:36:07 PM
A few weeks ago, I came out to the lead minister of my church (Unitarian Universalist). She's been a great support in just that short time so far.

I just found out she's planning on ending her ministry at this church in June.  :'(

I'd really hoped that she'd be at that church while I was in transition and when I completed transition.  I was hoping to have her officiate at a ceremony when I official switched from David to Connie.

Damn.

Well, I'll just have to meet with the next minister and start over.

Double damn.

I've only been to a few UU services, but I have always heard that they are the most accepting of us.

While you may have to re-introduce yourself to your new minister, I don't think it should be something you should worry about.  Also, would it be possible to have your current minister make an introduction for you?
