So what has everyone's experience been with urinals? What was the first time yet? Do you not like to use them?
Yesterday I used a urinal for the first time. It was in the part of a JC Penny in the mall that was being remodeled so it was pretty dead in there so i went for it. It was so awesome! I want a urinal at my house now lol. but anyways, i finished there then went into the stall to 'clean up' a little extra since no one was there anyways. then went out the sinks and rinsed the stp, put it in my waistband, and started washing my hands. right then another guy walked in, which made me kinda nervous. all i could think of was, good thing I just finished everything up. what would i have done if i was in the middle of taking a leak or was in the middle of rinsing the stp? jeez it practically gave me a heart attack. so i left the br so relieved it went pretty well. then i saw a young guy and his buddy heading in when i was leaving. yeah..i don't think i'll try that again unless i know nobody else will be in there, lol.
I love using urinals! Ever since I was little I just loved the way they look, and as soon as I was comfortable with my
STP I tried it on a urinal, and I love them. If Im confident and just tell myself I am a man, Im not worried about not passing, I look way more akward in a womens room anyway..
When I was using an stp, I thought urinals are nice. The first one I ever used was at a science museum. It was during the summer so it was pretty dead (no students or anything). I just went in, did my business, and came out. It was easy because no one was around and it helped me gain some confidence.
After that, I used a urinal only occasionally. Such as in a private single-stall (those have urinals too sometimes) bathroom or when I knew there would be no one around. During my summer class, I used one every single day. For some reason, I ended up smelling like piss every time so I gave that a rest for a while.
The last time I used a urinal was in a fairly low-traffic bathroom at an otherwise busy hospital. When I went in there was no one, but as I was pissing, two guys came in. One just went to the stall, the other stood waiting on me. I felt so utterly awkward. I knew he probably wasn't staring at me, but since then, I've had this fear of being in a line like that. So now I'm a stall guy again.
I like sitting to pee. Not a fan of urinals. I also haven't really been able to use urinals or going into a men's bathroom without being hassled.
I don't have an STP, they sound like a bit of a hassle anyways. If I had AMAB genitalia, I would probably use a urinal if needed, but I don't mind the stall for now.
I love using urinals/standing to pee. I havent in busy restrooms as I dont have a realistic stp but whenever I can I do. I used to hate going camping because of the whole squatting in the woods thing but now I get to pee on trees :-D

I have to say, I'm impressed with every guy who has the guts to use an stp at a urinal. I could never do it. I'm not even sure I want to use an stp, because of the cleanup that's involved afterwards... seems like a pain, and I'd be really self conscious about the whole thing.
speaking of peeing in public places, i just read in maxim that if you're pee shy you should try holding your breath for 30 seconds while on the toilet/standing at the urinal. Probably because you're focusing on something else; holding your breath and counting while wanting to breathe.
Also, Rex, what STP do you use?
I used to use the SNEE-KEE from PEE-ZEE but it kept getting deformed from being folded in my pocket. I used it once at a urinal in a washroom that was dead and it was awesome. I also used to use the STP Fitz at urinals but could only use it when I wore a certain pair of pants that had a very long fly so I could position it right but those pants are ripped now. :(
As of now I am still waiting for my Fenis.
That's pretty awesome man, congrats on some serious confidence. I haven't gotten an STP yet because of a few reasons but when I do I totally want to try that.
i just use a Travelmate, and usually seperate from my packer cause im usually at home or in a stall anyways. but i should be getting my B.U.D. soon to used with my packer so that'll be awesome
if there is no one in there and there are the little walls covering the urinal I will use it
its convenient at school because I don't have to take off my backpack, and i hate touching stall doors and trying to hover over it
urinals are just so much easier and faster

STPs kind of seem like a right pain... not particularly in the ass, but somewhere close by. At least for day to day use. I do agree that in a camping situation they're key.
I'd think twice before you go through your lengthy cleaning up process in public again though... that seems like it probably wasn't the best of ideas
I haven't mastered the fine art of standing to pee yet, but I do use the men's rooms. I just either wait til I have to take a ->-bleeped-<-, too, or just pretend I'm in the stall for that reason. I've never had anyone notice me and you KNOW you're passing when no one notices you in a bathroom.
I have stood to pee in my own bathroom before and when I'm successful and don't piss all over myself, I feel fantastic. It's amazing. Biomen take so much for granted.

I remember when I first used a urinal, I was at a rugby game with my step Dad (Leicester Tigers, for any fans haha) and was desperate for the toilet, so I just thought, I might aswell go for it. I was 16 or 17,so pre everything. It went smoothly, it was empty in the mens, but as I was leaving, this HUGE bearded guy walked in, looked at me, and carried on. For some reason, I found that scary at the time.
Now I use urinals all the time. It can seem a disgusting thing to be proud of doing,but using them does make me feel comfortable with myself since it is such a male thing.
I definitely prefer the individual urinals, but have also used those long ones that span across the wall, including when other guys are using them. I just dont stand too close. (I use urinals mostly on nights out, so other guys are probably too drunk to notice anyone around them anyway). It all just feels so natural now.
I love being able to just pee whenever; against a tree, behind a building etc. I just cant wait to be able to do this post op, withOUT an stp!

well, i only did that because the place was deserted, but usually i'm in a stall anyways so all that doesn't happen.
I use urinals if they have a bit of a divider between the next one or a good deep dish or if the place is empty.. well enough that I can lean in and a casual observer isn't going to spot my blue stp... but then again most bio guys lean in enough too that you aren;t going to spot their dicks. Everyone seems pretty much plastered against the urinals around here. Scrape well, shove it up my sleeve - go to the sink, wash the stp, then pocket it. No one seems to have noticed and if they have.. no one's cared.

I also use the Mango, it works great. I had a problem with the customer service....it took 14 months to receive my first order. When I finally did I decided I better reorder in case it took as long. I reordered last March 2010 and still have received nothing, I finally contacted the BBB in the State where they are located. I had sent them several emails over the past year and they just ignored me. They have replied now that I took it further and they are refunding my money. It's really too bad their customer service sucks because they have an awesome product line.
I am curious if you had the same problem, I read some other reveiws that the service was bad.

Yeah I only had two situations with guys looking at urinals. One of them was at a gay bar and I was using a urinal alone in the bathroom and two guys came in and went right beside me even though there were about 10 urinals. Only one of them was going and the other was just standing and talking to him but they kept looking over at me and I felt really uncomfortable because I was paranoid my stp wasn't realistic enough so I couldn't go and left. The other time I was at a pub and there were only two urinals and one was open and all the stalls were taken so I went there. I kept looking down at my own to get it in position and the drunk guy next to me looked over and asked if I was trying to look at his dick. But he was laughing and smiling and I was like "oh, uhh no" and he was like "hahh yesss you are" It was very strange. Then his friend came in and he told him that I was trying to look at him I was like ahh no I wasn't. They weren't aggressive or angry about it they were joking about it.
Yeah, it's just a big discomfort party, and everyone's invited :). The straight guys are terrified of being looked at, or that anyone will think they're looking, the not-straight ones are either terrified of being caught looking, or think they're expected to (or just are or aren't looking, of course). So every time you walk into one of those places, you're participating in a collective counter-transference psychodrama that's been centuries in the making :-/
Personally, I can't imagine getting that curious while I'm taking a leak - I mean, I selectively love cock, but let's face it, the last place that's going to make me feel horny is a stale-piss-perfumed box full of strangers. Go figure.

I heard about this too, it's not just you. Apparently this has happened to a lot of guys so they're boycotting the business now.

I hate to barge in on this thread, but I have a question or two. I understand that an stp is a device that will allow you to stand and pee. I would like to know where to get one. My wife and I have been in situations where both she and I wish she could stand and pee. Not because she wishes to use the mens room, but in a situation where a restroom may not be available. So would an stp be a good solution for a situation like this? Are there different types?

There are plenty of options out there for women that want to stand to pee. There's The Whiz, Travelmate, Go-Girl, Freshette, P-style to name just a few. With any one of these, it takes practice to get it down. I have experience with 4 out of the 5 that I have mentioned.
The Whiz: is great, it's soft and flexible but not as flimsy as the Go-Girl. Has a longer extension to direct the pee away from you.
Travelmate: It's just like a medicine spoon in a way. You have to really know where to put it if you want to avoid peeing on yourself.
Go-Girl: Works on the same order as the Whiz but is far too flimsy for me to use. I have big thighs and thats a bit of a problem for me.
Freshette: It's a very hard pink plastic trough with a tube. It works but it's something that you can't easily conceal or just put in your pocket.

Like Erocse, I'm sorry to be barging in on you, but one thing comes to mind: If someone notices your STP, all you have to do is say "WERE YOU LOOKING AT MY DICK!?" in a loud voice, and you should have no problems.

I bought the mango from them in 2007/08 and had no problem. I also had no problem buying a binder from them before that. But, when I tried to buy something else from the later on (I guess their service got worse!), I think this was early 2009, they took the money for the order, but I recieved nothing. I kept emailing them over the next few months. No reply. I tried being polite, finally sending an email that was obviously me pissed off after 6 months. I still heard nothing. I then quoted everything Id kept from them, showing theyd taken the moeny, when the transaction happened etc and said I wanted my money back. They eventually replied, with no acknowledgement of any of my other emails. And I eventually got my money back. I have also heard of alot of guys who have had problems like this. You just have to be persistent if it happens.
Im just glad I got the Mango when I did, because it is the best purcahse Ive gotten from any site, ftm related. They seem to be so much hassle now. Maybe theyve sorted themselves out since I last used them, lets hope.

you can find the freshette at camping/outdoorsy stores like REI for women who like to hike and camp and not squat in the woods
