Only 3 more days until I fly out of Manchester for Bangkok and onward to Chonburi.
It only seems like yesterday that I scheduled my SRS with Suporn and not the 9 months that it has been.
Finally all these years of waiting are nearly over; Thursday 10th March is my surgery date and I am really so excited. So many of my friends are asking if I'm nervous, but I'm really not; I have waited so long for this moment but I'm sure that will change once I'm in
the hospital.
I'm lucky to have my partner coming with me and her mum is joining us a few days after my surgery once I'm out of hospital.
So So happy with myself right now ;D

My partner will make sure I do as I'm told, as for the dilation; not looking forward to starting it, I know it gets easier as time goes on as other girls have said; but the end result will be worth all the discomfort :)
whoever you go to do not stand up and walk or move at all the first week. They want you to move for health but that moves or dislodges the surgery some while its trying to heal in place. I stayed in bed a week and still have the same depth after 14 yrs and barely ever dialating. People get up and walk because the DRs are worried for your health and not your depth. Most do not get embolisims from staying still. I also walked bent over for 4 weeks after surgery to keep from pulling it out of where it was placed. I also stayed in bed for 4 weeks but only got up to poop or pee. You want to let it heal in place as they did it the day of surgery. Do not move your body in any position that will cause the canal to pull out. That will give you the extra depth So many lose depth because they stand up erect and tall and proud wayyyy tooo sooon

Every surgeon seems to have different methods and therefore different ideas of how recovery should look. I know for a fact that Marci's patients get up and walk around 48 hours after the surgery and yet Suporn, it's more like a week before they get up. Everyone's different though and each patient should probably listen to their surgeon's instructions above anyone else's.
The walking around is, or should be, to avoid DVT (blood clots), which if they break loose can kill you in an instant.
Not being dead pretty much beats anything.

Finally arrived at the hotel yesterday and met with Dr Suporn; it only sank in that my surgery is immenent when I was sat in the clinic waiting room, looking at all the other girls walking very tentatively and carrying their doughnuts. All went well with my initial meeting with Suporn; so its blood tests and chest x-ray today and then admitted to hospital on wednesday for my surgery at 0830 Thursday.

Its actually 5 days before you can get out of bed, which is going to be difficult for me who can't stay still for 5 mins let alone 5 days.

Yeah even 48 hrs is kind of frightening. Hopefully sleep through most of that
