Title: Online/Phone Therapist?
Post by: ConfusedMichelle on January 16, 2007, 10:43:08 PM
As most of you know, I live in Texas. I haven't come across a therapist yet.

I saw a therapist who has a website. On this website, you can fill out an e-mail to the man, requesting a phone appointment. This therapist will call you and charge a certain amount (It was over 100.00 USD I believe) an hour and will have sessions with you over scheduled phone appointments. Obviously, he does this because some people live far from therapists. Eventually, if you are qualified, he will recommend hormones and take you further into transition.

I forgot his name already, but on the website, he seemed very credible and professional.

Does anyone know who this is and if he's credible? Is it a hoax? It seemed like it wasn't, but I need yall's opinions.

And also, any Texans out there know of any therapists that are near?

Thanks yall.

Brady,

I don't know who you are talking about, but there is a therapist in Manila, Philippines (Dr. Graham Peveller) that I have used and he is accredited. You see I'm from VA Beach, VA but I live and work in Kirkuk, Iraq (I'm not in the military, but I work with them) & I can tell you for sure there isn't any therapists on any of the FOBs (Forward Operating Bases) or out in the city, not that I would even attempt to leave the FOB to take an appointment.  Now Dr. Graham Peveller will do as much via chat rooms as you want and he charges 100 USD for 3 Sessions.  He will also give you the letters that you need but since he is in Manila he can not write prescriptions, but if you have a GP in Texas that is willing to work with you during your transition Dr. Graham Peveller will also write letters of reference for you stating that you are under his care. Here's his e-mail address (etherapy@gmail.com). Best wishes.

Online: No.
Phone: Yes. Or at least I have no complaints about Dr.Bushong. However, he doe specialize in MTF, still he might have a recommendation on who to talk to as he has been doing this for a while and has quite a large store of knowledge.

Lynner, may I have some contact information for your therapist? Do you think she would be willing to help me out?
