Well, it's one day shy of 4 months since I got my letter, but things finally worked out and last night I got my prescriptions. They started me off on a super low dose of Estradiol and a super duper low dose of Spiro, but I'm on them! I just took my first dose a few minutes ago. :)
Now to sit back and see what happens until my next appt. in June. I'm super happy!
~Sara :)
can you hear that woooooooooosh sound...that's it starting to work.
I'm super happy for you Sara! Try not to stare at your boobs too hard or they won't grow!
Yay Sara!!! ;D Congrats
Another sign that they are working is an irresistible urge to do a happy dance :eusa_dance:
Congratulations!! Can't wait to see how they work on you :)
YAY!!!
YAY!!!! =)
Welcome to the HRT club!
With a lower dose of spiro, maybe you won't have the side affects of having to go pee every 10 minutes. Ya drinking as much coffee as I do doesn't help either.
Congratulations!

Awesome, Sara. Welcome to the roller coaster. And when I was on Spiro I did not go pee any more than I already did. And I drink coffee all day.
Congratulation, Sis.
Wooohoooo, awesome news Sara.
Let the fun begin!! :P
Thanks everyone. I've been on Spiro in the past and the "pee effect" seemed to come and go, but I never noticed much of it.
Wish I had something positive to say but I mentally feel like utter crap. Good thing it started before the E, otherwise I would be doubting if I could take this everyday; I haven't felt this awful in a long time......damn brain ruining what should be an awesome day.

You go Sara!! :icon_dance:
Enjoy the ride.

Feeling much better today, crummy weather must've bummed me out, I need some sun!
Congrats on the E. :D It must be incredible to have the right hormone going through your body.
As a side note...it's interesting that Spiro causes some people to pee more. I pee more at certain times in my menstrual cycle, like to a point where it's ridiculous! I had a hunch that it was hormonal, but this kinda clinches it.

Nah, Spiro is a diuretic. It's supposed to make you pee. The anti androgen effects are a bonus.
Huzzah! Congrats on the E! :D
You beat me by exactly one week, so my plan is to track you closely so I know what's coming. It's kind of like seeing the future! j/k I know YMMV!
That being said, have you noticed any major changes (emotional or physical) by week two?
-Gwen
lol, your post cracked me up!
No major changes thus far, I had a few incredible hulk days where I wanted to destroy the world, but after those everything is nice and smooth. I can't say I've seen much of an emotional change enough to contribute to the hormones.
Physically, absolutely nothing so far. I have had some brutal night sweats though, they're driving me batty.

I had those for the first six months I was on HRT. It was lots of fun.
Yeah, loads.... lol
So, at day 17 I've finally noticed a physical change! :D
I whacked my nipple with the hair brush 3 or 4 days ago and it hurt quite a bit, it normally hurts, but it was extra painful this time, I just figured I had got it in an extra vulnerable spot. Today I've noticed that both nipples are super sensitive, not painful, but very very sensitive to touch.... I don't that there is another part on my body that I have ever felt touch as well with; it's the most amazing feeling, I've had a hard time not touching them, lol! I've also noticed a slight amount of puffiness with them too, but not a ton.
Anywho, just had to share!
~Sara
Congrats Sara, you have breasts now! Try not to hurt yourself too much. You will find all sorts of ways to hurt yourself in the coming weeks. Bras are just around the corner.
