Right, this feels weird writing about, but I'm not sure who/where else to ask.
The two days exactly before my bleeding starts each month I use to get extremely depressed for seemingly no reason, sometimes so bad I get impulses to throw myself off a building. Then the pain and bleeding starts and I'm like "ah, so that's what it was". (I never keep track of when my period is due to start). And then starts the extreme (inner) aggression.
Now here comes the weirder part:
The last two days of the period itself, before I stop bleeding, I always get super horny and it stays constant until the bleeding is over. Those two days are so extreme with sexual fantasies and stuff and I can't stop "going at it" whenever I'm alone, it's quite crazy.
Now, this month I had two days of horniness(mixed with aggression) BEFORE my period instead of the depression.
What the heck is going on with me? What's up with that oddball horny thing at the end of "the week"?
Does anyone else experience things like this?
I know the depression is common, but I don't know very much about how hormones play a part in this, actually I've just been trying to pretend I don't ever have periods at all, so any insight here would be appreciated.
Is it high estrogen that causes the depression/aggression? And if so what's up with my other issue?
My period affects my mood, my dysphoria, and my sex drive. I feel really horny for the last two days of my period as well, and then all the way up to ovulation. Things (sex and mood) slowly decline until I finally bleed again. Lol, who'd think, "finally bleed", but it really makes my mood better when it's over with.
Yes, it just gets worse and worse until it's over and you're allowed to live and breathe for a couple of days, until the downwards slope starts again. Those two days before and the two days at the end really stand out from the rest though.
Just entering the downward slope now...it's an evil cycle! Minus the good days. ;)
It's normal, has something to do with ovulation/fertility crap. I always got really horny before mine started, that's one of the ways I knew it was about to start. Then depression/mood swinging, being sore all over, and early cramping. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of oestrogen being released at some point during the cycle, and it dukes it out with your other hormones. That made my one period while on T hell on earth.
I don't get a period very often (one of the upsides of having PCOS) but when I do I get really horny towards the end of it. Which is really annoying because you can't satisfy your feelings unless you feel like coming out of it looking like you've been tending to a trauma victim (sorry for the disgusting image, but it's true). Again, I'm very glad I don't get the red death all that often.
I refuse to have sex/jerk off during my bye-week (I call it that because its the week I don't "play" kinda like football teams lol) so it makes me kinda pent up by the last few days. I always feel like a new man when I am done with the awful thing. I feel so much cleaner, healthier and physically able. I swear the sun shines brighter and the world seems like a better place when that evil thing is gone.
I haven't had my period for about a year now (I take the anticonception pil and I never stop with it so I don't have to ge trough the horror of my period, mine is really bad needed to wear diapers at night.) so I don't really feel anything anymore now :')
But my ex would get super horny when she had her period, she has a lot of spots and I used to tease her a lot but even an accidentily touch would make her feel insane. And I hear that from more girls so I think it's normal...
I think it's about all the hormones getting on the loose that make you feel this way. It's kinda logical I guess... Okay this is a useless post :') Sorry for that xD
As far as I know this is really normal. I believe it does have to do with the hormone fluctuations throughout the month.
I am sympathetic with you guys. I have a really odd cycle. I havent had a period in two- three years. But I get some cramps, cravings and the hornyness too. I remember my last period clearly tho. it had been 4 years almost and then suddenly out of the blue it hit, I acctually paniced and called my mom and asked if i should go to the doctor. That week was the worst week ever I wanted to hide under a rock and not move at all, even jump off the rock. but I have a really high drive and I want to say I have three days top out of the month where sex is the last thing on my mind. drives my girl crazy.
My gf tho is practicly on a set clock. she gets crampy then the craves then she starts and as soon as she starts the hornyness happens, she is suddenly a whole lot more friendly.
During the whole hormonal cycle there are two times where your hormones might make you horny. One during the... mens and the other during ovulation.
Which the latter its normally the one where you might feel more horny and its related to fertility and your body making it known to you.
