Hi bea.
There are quite a lot of girls here who will give you enormous amounts of advice on your recovery.
Sometimes they take a while to read through all the posts, but they will get back to you.
In the mean time, have a look through the Post Op section. https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/board,43.0.html (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/board,43.0.html)
Most seem to go through the same process. Great, it's finally done. When will the swelling go down? Why is this or that? I'm feeling really down. Thanks for the reassurance. I'm feeling a lot better now. Hey, life is great.
One day, I might just be looking for the same support from you. :)
Welcome to Susan's, Bea. :icon_flower:
There's a lot of good information and good people here. Each of our stories is unique but we have a lot in common. Settle in, pull up a keyboard, and explore.

Look through the other stuff there, too.
It takes a while for the swelling to go down, and a lot depends on the technique used and the person. I had no visible swelling after about a month, but the internal swelling lasted much longer.
I went into my regular doctor at about six weeks because I was concerned about the looks of the area. He had never seen a neo-vagina before, but he knew what a healing surgical area should look like and pronounced it healthy. You might check with you local doctor, or you could send a photo to your surgeon to ask if it is normal.
Heal well.
