Title: Jerica - Thursday Morning
Post by: SweetShannon on March 17, 2011, 10:14:25 AM
Thursday Morning, 8AM

It is the second day after Jerica's surgery.  I haven't seen any posts on Facebook from her through the night so I am hoping she finally got a complete night's sleep.  Hopefully, if they had to wake her up for vitals, she was able to right back to sleep.  The bandages are supposed to come off today and we are hoping she will be able to sit, stand and walk a little today.  I am very hopeful that the stitching yesterday will prevent her bleeding anymore than she should -- there will be seepage for some time yet.

She had a wonderful visit from her cosign, A* yesterday night.  They talked about growing up and the latest news of all the other cousins, aunts, and uncles.  There a great many smiles and some laughter.  It was a very good visit!  It was a very good thing for me to hear A* affirm Jerica's memories of playing with an Ariel doll when she was little.

Please content to keep us in your prayers and meditations!  There is still quite a bit of pain and healing to endure before she can go to Recovery House and then home.

Thanks for the update, "Mom" Shannon.   I'm keeping her in my prayers.
