Title: Height...
Post by: Jack12 on January 20, 2007, 11:56:09 AM
Is there anyway I can get ANY taller that I wouldn't need much of my moms help with?

>.<

What do you mean "much of my mom's help with?" You mean money? Without money it's a little hard...

But hormones, if you're young, can cause you to grow a bit taller. Also, there's some shoes you can buy with platforms built into them discreetly so you look taller.

I got annoyed with my shortness too. But the other night i met a guy who, if you counted my spikey hair, i was taller than him!!! lol So now it dont bother me much cos there is actual proof that there are many guys out there the same height as me.

How tall are you guys anyway? I'm only about 5'3" :(

How young do you have to be for T to help ya grow?

Well I think your growth plates don't fuse until your early to mid twenties, so until then you're usually going to get a little growth. From what I've heard (not the voice of experience here).

eta- I'm 5'8. :)

5'5 and proud of it. :D
From what I've heard, it depends on the individual - some guys who started T in their teens say they didn't experience any growth and as Lane said, some guys who started in their mid-twenties report growth.
Some people's growth plates are already fused in their teens - I think you can have a doc check if yours have already or not.

True. I'm crossing my fingers that mine haven't; I just got this extra inch in the last year so that's gotta be good, yes? *pray* I was 5'7 for about 5 years then suddenly 5'8. *shrug* Apparently it can happen.

Don't fret--- You will find that men come in all shapes and sizes.... I've seen bio guys who are 5' tall. It's not about physical height as much as how you carry yourself. Always stand straight and walk with confidence, whether you are in a grocery store or walking into the men's room.

It's the same with everything about your physical appearance-- men come with all different voices (I know bio-guys who have real high pitch voices), They also have different facial hair patterns (I know a bio-guy who is in his late 30's and can't grow a full beard to save his life).

Try not to focus too hard on the things you can't change... find strength in things that are inside like striving to be the best man you can be, someone you can be proud of for his strength and courage.

Be the man, you can look at in the mirror and say, "Yeah-- I really like this guy!!!

God Bless,
Scott

leg transplant, no wait, lower body transplant, no wait, body transplant with a MTF person?

Thought to be honest I quite like being a tall woman, it's all in my massively long 40" legs and it puts me in the correct proportions, for my height i'm very narrow, I live with a guy who's 5' tall and he's the epitone of manlyness, he's also built like a tank it's something that's just not really going to change so trying to like it for the advantages it brings is probably the best idea, it's worked for me, i used to obsess over height no end.

I'm 5'2. It used to bother me, but I agree it all depends on how you carry yourself. I am concentrating on being the best guy I can be!

Ii'm 5'5-ish (I measured 5'6 last time, but it could've just been an error on the doctor's height chart).

I'd like to be taller, but I haven't had any trouble passing with my height and lots of bio guys are shorter.

5'9". (Taller with boots on, and very fond of stomping on genetic guys.)

Anyway, I know lots of very handsome, very short genetic guys. One short guy I know is a real ladykiller. Seriously, he's the only one in our dorm besides me who ever gets any action. With a little muscle, short can be sexy. Don't worry about it.

I hope girls are allowed in this thread, but since the subject is height.

I lost close to 5 inches of height on estrogen. I was close to 6 foot 5 when I started, and I'm below 6 feet now. It's been fracking awesome.

I don't know - I mean the truth is that girls do like height in men. But - think of all the awkward things too. Here's a brief list of things that used to suck about being tall.

1. Slow dancing with girls never lined up right.
2. I'd have to worry about which cars I could fit in.
3. Clothes wouldn't fit correctly.
4. Lankiness.
5. Having it assumed I knew something about ball chasing games.

In any case. Confidence matters more than height. And so does basic stuff - does he listen? Does he smoke? Does he have a future? This is basic stuff.

Don't obsess, spacekats.

Bri

Ps- I think height shoes and the like are sort of lame. Just be yourself! There was a short boy at my university who made a detrimental joke about himself "And yes. I do shop in the boys department." It was really cute and funny!

My former best friend is short... but he wears it well...

For holloween he went as a storm trooper.... we had to remake the entire thing cuz it was built for someone a full foot taller than him... and he constantly got the comment. "arnt you alittle short for a storm trooper?"

And we IE the majority of his current and former friends gave him the nickname of the smurf, because he wears a blue uniform and is well short....

We would allways tell him and my bandmate that they should go as the Green Giant and Sprout.

This all sounds mean, but he gets a total kick out of it, and knows how to bite back. Hes all of 4ft 12...

tip: stand up straighter, I just measured my height and I'm now 6'1, this is because I've gained a heck of allot of confidence lately and I stand tall now, at first I was like "drat" but tbh it's 100% a good thing a woman who stands tall and is confident in who she is is more attractive than one that stoops and hides away.

The funny thing is that I was 6'1 before transition and i shrunk quite quickly as I lost upper body bulk down to 5'11 and now i've just got it right back through standing up straight.
