I'm a work in progress. I finally accepted that I was trans and needed to do something about it a couple of months ago.
I have bipolar and had to quit my job because of it and move back in with my parents. I'm 33. :(
I'm seeing a therapist now actually I've seen her twice. This time she asked how she wants her to help me and I don't know.
This might be the wrong place to post this so I as I get used to these boards I may ask again but my issue is.
What do you do between deciding that you are trans and telling your parents? ???
I was hoping to move out of the house before telling them but that will not be for several months.
Hi Mel, :icon_wave:
Welcome to our little family. Over 5900 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.
Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams. Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.
But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another member. :icon_hug:

You are Trans because you say you are. Your therapist's job is ether to confirm or deny your belief. From there it is up to you to decide where to go and how. They will help guide you to those decisions.
In the reference library, above, are some material that could be of help with the parents.
Hugs and Love,
Janet
