It is no wonder that America is going downhill fast.  With extremist views like that.  And they say that Islam is extreme.  Soon if you are not white Christian and straight, you will be fair game to be lynched in America.

The sad thing about the onion is that some people honestly won't get the sarcasm, but thats actually funny too from a certain perspective, especially since they've never been exactly what you call subtle with it.

Sarcasm it may be but it is based on an undercurrent of real life feelings.  And the people who have those feelings and thoughts will take it of the truth.

some people honestly won't get the sarcasm,

And that's what lifts it from just a good joke to the level of art.

I love The Onion aswell.

The way they spin actual issues is hilarious; unlike some other places which tend to be insulting more than anything.

I also need to second tekla regarding the sarcasm.

Too early for cactus flowers here yet, no roses either, but the poppies are starting to bloom.

Transgendered Sea Anemone Denounced As 'Abomination' By Clergy

A coalition of Baptist clergymen spoke out Monday against the Telia felina, a transgendered sea anemone they are decrying as "base and depraved."

"This filthy anemone, which exhibits both male and female characteristics, is turning our oceans' intertidal zones into dens of sin and perversion," said Rev. William Chester, spokesman for the Save Our Seas Coalition, a Huntsville-based activist group dedicated to "the preservation of aquatic decency and morality." "For God knows how long, this twisted sea creature has been running rampant in our oceans, spreading its unnatural, bisexual lifestyle. And it's high time somebody took a stand."

Transgendered sea anemone *snort* ....

I'm surprised they didn't go for the nudibranch actually.

Ad just on TV here for a local Law Firm should be an Onion ad.   Name of the firm?  Constable Collins.  Not the sort of name to inspire confidence in a defendent!
