sorry to dump here you guys need emotional support! Bad awful day!
Vital stats:
Car conked out on turnpike going 70 mph's.. in left lane almost got killed trying to get off the highway an hour later towed to garage 45 minutes back to other side of next town, called into work effectively calling off (which does not look good for me..) then did not get a rental till 3:00pm, to late to even try and go into work, had to call a relative just to come get me from the toyota garage to take me home! Got the dreaded call at 4:00pm... cps crankshaft pos sensor and some other things, timing belt, none of it covered under waranty.. bill, or estimate rather 1,058.00$ OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only thing that is reimbursable is rental feel through enterprise through my car insurance (40.00 a day)! That's not in the 1058.00 either.......
will not get my car until Friday probably!
So needless to say Ricki had a very very bad day!

I agree with the group, you're still with us in one piece, ok, minus a little in the wallet area. We all can relate to the car quiting at the worst time. I had my VW van lose 3rd and 4th gear on an Interstate going home, and had to drive 25mph in 2nd the rest of the way home on the Interstate in Saturday afternoon traffic (60 miles). It's safe until you see a big rig coming at you in the mirror at 60 mph and no where to go. Two weeks and $4K later it as back in health again.

Ricki, bummer about the car, but glad to hear you're OK... I've been there, as I've often driven ancient cars.
