Well, good grief! Talk about a clutz.
Yesterday I was walking away from the mailbox cluster attentatively searching a larger-than-usual pile of mail seeking my second therapist's surgery recommendation letter, and got my heels - solid wedge type, not stilletos by the way - caught up in each other, and found myself going to my knees and clear to my face. I got asphalt abrasions to both knees (luckily not hard enugh to rip my new jeans), both palms, my chin, and upper cheek (face cheek). The chin bled pretty good, but at least my glasses escaped unscathed.
Today my center chest and left rib area as sore as @#$%, nearly as sore as I am mortified. I don't know whether it is good or bad that no one happened to be outside or driving by at the time, as I slowly struggled up, got in my car, and reported to the home ER for some cleanup and a lot of neosporin and patching.
*sigh* Welcome to the dark side. What a price we sometimes pay to look good, and girl, did I look good sprawled out on my face. I can't tell where the abrasions leaves off and the blushes starts!
Oh, and the stupid leter wasn't there!

Yes I am Tracy. If we didn't get up every single time we fell, we would be back in the baby cage. That doesn't mean I don't feel pretty ... well, blonde! And what hurt worse, the abrasion on my chin was on top of two hours of electrolysis, including the same spot!
They say you see your life flashing before your eyes; I saw my surgery money going directly to emergency room service.
