Hi!
Excited about this: I am on HRT, low-dosage, and my hairline... It seems it's beginning to change! I am viewing it and it seems some thin hair is beginning to grow. Can't believe, let's see some months from now! May post picture later, I was excited but my camera is out of battery, recharging now :)
How much of you, if ever on HRT, have experienced this? (I am still not sure if that hairline will stick) How were the results?
2 months in on spiro, haven't noticed anything changing there. Facial has slowed to less than half, but just as gruesome looking as always.
lower leg hair thinning. All body hair growth has slowed. Just got up... Must. drink. coffee.

Spiro alone? That should lower your testosterone levels and make the T/E ratio lower. As I read & heard, progesterone and estrogen are needed to improve hairline (estrogen creams for bald people should help, but I think the hairline change comes with estrogen, as non-bald young men have different hairlines than women's). But correct me if I am wrong...
Hi Soulfairer,
Here's more info on the subject; https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,92457.msg676731.html#msg676731 (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,92457.msg676731.html#msg676731)
I think it has to do with the age someone starts HRT. Someone starting early is more likely to regain hairline... I started young, and to my knowledge haven't lost hairline Pre-HRT, but during HRT I grew out some thin baby hairs, that are really thickening out.

Ahm. It's that I'm 30 and already lost some hair (though not "noticeable", but I look often in the mirror to notice..). I'd like to know whether only spiro (or finasteride) would give a normal man a woman's hairline or it'd just regrow lost hair. Now I'm wandering into scientific curiosities.. :)
I don't know anything about finasteride, i tend to think that it is largely the estrogen that gives a more female and rounded hairline. Spiro alone wouldn't do much -if at all- at least that's what i think. Best of luck with your transition.
Sweetie
Finasteride, sold under presciption,: Propecia, Proscar, Avodart, and Dutastride, have the most effect.
