Title: Salmonella bout effects on oral HRT
Post by: Joelene9 on April 25, 2011, 01:00:47 PM
All,
I had salmonella the good part of last week from store bought strawberries.  This morning (Monday) I had those bad dreams I had pre-HRT, I awoke with that male smell on my arms.  I still also had last night's dinner in my belly that comes up due to my GERD.  This has been going on since last Wednesday.  I stopped peeing in the night since last Thursday.  Evidently the Spiro is not making it past the stomach.  I hope this is temporary and my liver doesn't go into overdrive by this trigger.  Anybody else have other experiences with any long GI ailments while on oral medication?

Yes I suffer from frequent nausea and vomiting. Have been for a little over 10 years. Sometimes I'll lose as much as 30lbs, mostly water, and become severely dehydrated. During these times, I simply don't take anything; there's no point since they'll never stay down.

I'm finally getting to see a specialist about these re-occurring problems.

The Spiro's working again.  I had to empty the bladder 3 times last night.

It's true :( I've tried not drinking for several hours before I go to bed, but still have to wake up to use the rest room. Spiro, for all of it's greatness can still be so irritating.
