Title: Insomnia users
Post by: tonia on April 28, 2011, 03:21:37 AM
Hello,
I'm both on androcur, and a low dosage of estrogen pills (for now) and I experience very bad insomnia. I could sleep for about three-four hours at night. My endo prescribed me ambien but I got addicted to it, I cannot sleep at all without it. I'm desperate... I booked an appointment with my endo to discuss the possibility to increase estrogen intake, if that helps. Any insomnia users that are on HRT?

I don't recall having issues sleeping while pre-op.  There are a lot of occasions where I find myself wishing we had 30 hour days since some nights, I am still wide awake at 1AM and other nights I can crash soon after 7PM.  I have also had periods where I literally rolled over at the same precise minute...and it was not even related to being in my own time zone.  I had the same thing happen when I traveled.

My biggest bouts of what some might consider insomnia tend to come when I have been absolutely slammed in the office with client matters.  And, while some might question the resolution, those nights tend to be ones where a glass or two of GOOD red wine after I leave the office does wonders...
