Prince William's invites for his RAF pals and transsexual
It turns out the one of our community went to the royal wedding - and I gather (via the grapevine) was also numbered amongst the exclusive 300 who get to stay over tonight at Buckingham Palace. ;D
Sadly it wasn't me though...

PRINCE William has invited his RAF helicopter pals to his wedding - including a transsexual pilot.
Wills, 28, has sent invites to the entire Search and Rescue team from his base in Anglesey, North Wales.
They include Flight Lieutenant Ian Holdom - who is set for a sex swap and goes by the name of Ayla.
I think Rob's over there now as well for the wedding. Of course, I don't think he was actually invited!! :D
I just think it is rather nice that UK high society has moved so far towards acceptance of us as a valid part of society.
I mean back in my day the upper class (which I myself am on the outer fringes of) have always been pretty relaxed about this - but this is still a very real positive development.
I've got strangely mixed feelings about The Sun reporting it - on the one hand, it's a very public acceptance by the prince, but on the other it's flagged as newsworthy that he'd want to invite someone transgender. Still, glass half full :).
I think the sun got one detail wrong though...
As far as I know she is now fully transitioned and possibly even postop.
The other good thing is that she continues as a serving RAF pilot...
My invitation must have got lost in the mail.

Yeah that's what I said ::) Darned post-office!
The wedding was the best episode of Antiques Roadshow I've seen in a long time.
