In my opinion people should be able to be who they are!...I don't know why society has to put a name to everything. Society would call ME Transgendered, I am a woman on the inside and male on the outside, and I would love for the world (society) to get on the ball and help those of us that just want to be who we are!! I don't care what all the terms are or who you are we are all here for each other and I have to give a lot of credit to this site as it has really helped me cope with my feelings. I really hope that someday we can all learn to get along w/o having to type everyone.

I have to agree with you that we are who we are. I know I am a woman; the difference is that society does not. I think of transgendered as more of a term for a person in that particular situation than as something that actually describes me. If/when I hopefully achieve my goals and become what I should have always been, I won't consider myself transgendered at all. I'll just be a woman, free to enjoy life as I wish. Society really does need to get with it, though...picking certain groups and hating them because they aren't "normal." Puh-lease! :P
I agree with you about this site, too. I've been here for about a week, and it really feels like home. I can be myself here, and I can read and comment on all sorts of things that can help me on my journey; on top of that, I get to help other people on their journies with what sparse wisdom I have to impart (that will increase as my experiences do, no doubt). Hang in there, Kira. If we (human beings) don't have each other to fall back on, what do we have? ;)
