Title: Clitorus question
Post by: James-Alen on May 17, 2011, 08:32:57 PM
Now that I have your attention, lol. I read somewhere that surgeons detach an FTM's clitorus from the labial attachments before performing a phallo. Could a person have this done pre-bottom surgery? Would there be any logical advantage to doing so? This sounds odd, but I was wondering if maybe it would grow even bigger on T if removed from any possible restraints, such as that. Of course, that may not be the case at all. Does anyone know a little more about this? If it would be advantageous to bottom surgery when done early, or even pre T, I would like to know.

What you're describing sounds like a metoidioplasty (clitoral release) without a pelvic lift or urethral extensions, which itself is an option for bottom surgery. I hope someone knows about size advantages to having this surgery early, because I've been wondering/hoping the same. Of course, there's the obvious size bonus from freeing the clitoris/penis from the surrounding labia/foreskin, as most of the clitoris/penis isn't naturally exposed. But as for improving T induced growth, I could only speculate. Perhaps that coupled with regular pumping could be a good combination for growth? Especially if more erectile tissue could be pumped than could be without a clitoral release. But again, I'm not qualified to make more than a speculation.

Actually I believe they only do that procedure when the growth has ceased. I don't remember where I got this info so I could be wrong.

Thanks for the replies :D maybe I can contact a surgeon and ask, then relay the information back. I'm nowhere near surgery right now, but there are good things to know!
