I saw the psychiatrist again today, he asked me what I wanted to talk about, I said "HRT!", and he eventually said "I think you've got enough change happening in your life to be going on with at the moment..." and wants to give me "more time to explore".
Meh, he's probably right, what with me having just moved across country, new life, looking for work, etc. etc.
But that doesn't mean I'm not impatient, dammit. Still, I'm liking my stripes :).
You're looking incredible Padma :)
Hmmm I agree with you that he might be right but the average person only takes a little while to settle down with all of that so hopefully you will be able to talk about that again soon. *hugs*
BTW I like the stripes too :)
Why, thankee! I overcompensated for the underexposure of this photo, and now I look like I'm on the command deck of the Enterprise, with a supernova onscreen :).
I'm patient with my impatience. These things take time, I just want everything right now.
Hi Padma
Yes time for being put on stuff is a pain. Like your avatar, begs for dangly ear rings though

Tell me about it - the place I ordered some from nearly a month ago has finally got stock in - and they've sent them to my old address (even though they confirmed changing the delivery address the first time they got delayed). Well, okay, when I say "dangly" I mean these fab serpentine glass babies :):

(a red theme? what makes you think that?)
Hi Padma,
I must say, I've been watching your avatar pics, and I must say, I can see the changes happening. Looking good! :)

Thanks - so far it's just been a bit of hair growth/henna, a bit of face laser, a bit of waxing/shaving, a bit of weight loss(!), and a bit of colouring up my wardrobe :). Oh, and probably a major change of attitude/self-view. But I could use some outside help (or inside help, thinking about HRT!)
The little bits of everything adds up! Ah, the attitude change makes the biggest changes.
The only outside help I can offer is a huge big hug :icon_hug:

Thanks, I'll take a hug in lieu of hormones any day :).
Don't lie!! :o :o
That was no lie! It meant "If I can't have hormones, I'll have a hug" not "I'd rather have a hug than hormones" :). I'd prefer a steady dose of both, of course :D.
It's been a few months since I began to realise I wanted HRT, but only one months since I started seeing the psychiatrist (this was our 2nd session). I'm going to start seeing a local gender therapist next week, and that will help things along. But I'm waiting to be able to register with a local GP, and until I can do that, I won't be able to get referred to the local GIC, so I'm tapping my toes waiting for some proof of new address to arrive.
(I'm really milking the dimples now, innit? ;D)
Apologies Padma :embarrassed: I had a bit of a blonde moment there. But I do agree with Valerie, you are adorable. I think the hardest thing to deal with during transitioning is the impatience. Everything seems to happen too slowly!! ::)
