Title: Washington Gender Alliance
Post by: James-Alen on May 21, 2011, 10:37:00 PM
So, I'm going to the Fairhaven meet this Tuesday. I have never been to it before, or even a gender meetup of any kind. I'm nervous and excited to see what's up and meet more people that 'smell familiar' so to speak. I thought I would make a topic for anyone in the area here who has been. Also a shout out to anyone I might see there!

I only know two people from WGA: Barb Yaple, the founder, and her husband, Rorie Gould, with whom I worked as a transactivist. They made it over to our Olympic Peninsula home a few times, and we ran into them at Gender Odyssey and Ingersoll Gender Center events. If they are there, please tell them that Robyn says hello from Hawaii.

I think you will find it a pretty good group of folks.

I'd also recommend you sign up for this year's Gender Odyssey gathering in Seattle. Always over Labor Day weekend.

Hopefully, our home will be long sold by that time.

Cool :D I'll write those names down and say hello for sure! I'll see what I can do about gender odyssey, though right now my funds situation is... well... I'm saving up to change my name with what little i get from Labor Ready. Though, I don't mind being a Blue Collar boy ^.^ What is it? Like a huge convention-esque gathering? I'll do some google-ing. Thanks for the reply!!
