Well, I started T back at the end of March, so it has been almost 2 months now I think? And I was just wondering... I mean, I was never really quite sure what growing pains felt like, but I heard it was pain in the joints, and well for the past week or so, I have been getting exactly that...
Even as I type this right now, my ankle is hurting right where the bone of your leg connects to the foot, but I thought T didn't make you grow taller? :o
Though, I'm still quite young and I was on blockers since the end of December.
So could this be the T be making me grow more? I really hope that is the case!
I heard if you start T young enough, before your growth plates have sealed up, that it's possible. Measure yourself ASAP, as exact as you can get it, and keep track of it. That way you'll know and can inform other guys of your findings. Good luck!!
Does anyone know at what age your growth plates seal up? I'm assuming I'm too old at 23, but I did grow a couple of inches when I was 21, so maybe I have a chance?
i think it's 15-18 for bio-females (as late as 21 is heard of but not common) and around 22 for bio-males.
i heard that sex hormones in general cut off the growing process which is why t should not be given to anyone who's still growing and they get estrogene blockers instead. i also heard that hands and feet grow on t, and pretty much everything else thats not solid bone.
Hate to dampen your enthusiasm but estro blockers will dry out your joints which is what you are likely to be suffering from......
I noticed the same pain as growing pains but I haven't gotten any taller. :-\
Androgens cause the body to stop linear growth. I have had T deficiency since I was young which resulted in me being quite tall with somewhat of an euchnoid appearance. My plates did not start to close up until my mid 20's when I was put on T. T should help with muscle growth though - perhaps that is what you are feeling.

I think this must be it too though, since I kinda felt the same thing in my calf a little while ago. Ah well, one can always dream...
I'm still gonna check my height regularly to see if I grow. :)
When I am dehydrated, I tend to get muscle cramps, particularly in the calf. After I started T, I had quite a bit of muscle growth, and I was having some cramps in my calves and also in places where I don't normally cramp. But I was hydrating regularly, so I guess my new muscle was just a bit delicate or something.
I had a bit of joint ache here and there, but mostly in my right ankle, where I have an old injury. My ankle is better than ever now.
I was under the impression that if your plates haven't fused yet, you can grow a bit on T. Seems to me that if androgens stopped people from growing taller, we would have an awful lot of short men in the world.

This is exactly what I was thinking.
I wouldn't rule out that your'e growing, but don't get your hopes up either.
I'm 2 months on T and I have been getting growing pains of sorts in muscles. Mostly my calf muscles actually. I walk really quickly and recently I've noticed I get a major cramp in my calves if I walk a decent distance at speed. It's actually pretty painful and I'm hoping it'll pass soon as it's even hindered my running!
No pain in my joints though. I've not got any taller either, but I'm 28 so I definitely didn't expect that.
I am getting some pretty weird muscle twitches too. One of which is under my right eye and has been going on for 4 weeks now!! It's driving me a little insane. Not sure if that's T related or minor stress though.
Someone told me that a certain female genital part grows on T. I am not sure how specific I can be. But I was wondering if there is any truth to this?

That is definitely true. Other than my voice changing (I sounded like I was ill about 2 days on T, but it was the start of my voice breaking) it was one of the first things I noticed.
How does it grow? I have been told so many things and google is just useless right now

The tissue that the clitoris is made up from is the same as that of a cis man's penis, so putting testosterone into your body makes that tissue respond with growth, much as happens in the womb of your mother when the sex of a child is forming.
It gets bigger basically, in length and diameter :)
Well I ahve seen photos of SRS bottom surgeries and they don't seem to make a difference...
True. If someone wants a normal-looking penis, it is more expensive if I read correctly. But docotors usually do the minimum from what i see adn hear
i actually grew half an inch and im still growing the dr measured myself and i am almost 23.. ive been on t a year and 2 weeks. so it is possible.. i dont have no joint pains..
I think I have grown like a third of an inch or so since starting T. I know that I hadn't really grown for a while, I was always at around 66 inches, but a little while ago I measured and I got over 66 inches. So I don't know if those were growing pains or not, but I think I am growing still. I just hope it wasn't a tape measure failure. xD
