Hey guys, curiosity is getting the better of me. I feel like a douche asking, because I am tall [6'3], but I couldn't find a recent poll like this. I'm straddling the FTM/Genderqueer/Butch fence right now and can't get off the damn thing. I feel like I pass because I'm tall and wonder if I would even be in this position if that wasn't the case. Then I want to smack myself because who thinks like that? Anywho.. participate if you want!
Oh God, i wish I was your height dude. My height (5ft 3 >:( :() has caused me no end of self hatred and such. It's probably the thing that makes me most dysphoric apart frome my curves/hips/bum
Don't feel like a douche man
:police:
6'3?
!!!
I'm going to have to change my "customizable title" thing.
I'm only 6'2!
i wish i were taller- i'm 5ft 2. but my ex told me that his biggest hero in the rangers was a guy who was 5ft 3, and he was the smallest ranger. he ended up falling out of a helicopter because he had to jump for the rope that everyone else just grabbed, and everyone else in the helicopter landed on top of him. the upside to being small is that you don't land too hard, so even though he broke his neck, he lived.
anyway, i guess there are worse things than being short. 8)
I'm somewhere between 5 foot 2 and 5 foot 3. I'm not such a fan of being short.
5'3" or 160 cm
I used to wear lift shoes, but now I just don't care. Would I prefer to be taller? Definitely. Can't do anything about it though so I quit worrying. It does make me feel better, however, when I see other men my height or shorter.
I'm 5'7". Not nearly as tall as I'd like, but I'm still taller than most girls I know... it could be worse.
I've measured anywhere from 5'5"-5'5.5"-5'6", all without shoes, so I usually just say about 5'5"-5'6". It's actually a fairly average height for my area I've seen; I'm taller than some guys, shorter than others, about the same height as others still. Same goes with women.
What's really confusing though is people who are about the same height as me (sometimes shorter) will claim to be taller, sometimes multiple people at once, then I get a "WTF?!" look on my face...and start questioning my own height. But it's always measured consistently between 5'5" and 5'6", so...*Shrugs*

Ditto
I'm about 4'10 and I really hate it. I get so paranoid that no girl will date me b/c I'm so short. It totally sucks to be this short.
5'7 I'm the exact same height as my older halfbrother(his dad was short), so I try not to complain.
My little sister(who is femininity incarnate) is taller than me though, and has broader shoulders and smaller hips.. Makes me feel kinda bummed.
6'3?? /envy
I'm 5'7" and my girlfriend is 5'11. I wish I was taller, but I don't have a complex about it or anything. I'm taller than a fair amount of FAAB people, and I know other guys my height. In terms of dating, personally it doesn't matter to me. I guess it was normalized for me, because my dad and mom and have the same corresponding heights...strange. Although I admit I'm glad my SO doesn't like to wear heels lol
I'm about 5'6". I think I like my height. not too tall, not too short. But, there are a lot of short guys. So I don't think any FTMs who are short should feel bad or different.
5'2 or 5'3. Not sure. But I'm still growing! I grew 2 inches in the past like month so I have faith xD
An older trans mentor of mine is under five feet and a complete silver fox. Apparently, the gay men at the LGBT center hit on him...and no wonder.
I can't quite convince myself to check a box in the survey because I am just over 5'6" but not 5'7". Yeah, I have issues.
5'5, 5'6. Thought I know a lot of people within a few inches of my height either way. I come to find that while girls tend to like guys taller then them, a man with confidence is a powerful thing. My best friend from High School is actually shorter then me, and we both agree the best way to get girls at our shorter height is to just be confident. I'm comfortable with my height. We joke about how skinny and short I am at work, and it doesn't bother me. There are plenty of guys within my height range, I'm not worried about it. I am jealous of a 6'2 and 6'3's though, secretly.
Was 5 ft for several years until about age 25 I strangely shot up 2 inches- 5'2 now. Being taller would help in passing more but since height is about as fixed as race and I pretty used to being short, even for a girl, Ive learned to let go.
I'm about 5'8. I'm alright with it, but I definitely wouldn't mind another 3 inches. :)
Im 5'5 and I hate it.

Lucky. I hope Im still growing. Im 21 and have grown 3 inches since I was 18.
Whoa, I posted then headed out to dinner with the rents, I'm glad you guys wanted to get in on this poll, as I think it's a good dialogue to get going. You guys are awesome, thank you! As a FAAB person who's towered over everyone since always, I can agree that it's more about confidence than height (height hasn't helped me much).
Miniar, my super tall brother! Hey you keep your title, you deserve it! I'm still pretty lost so.. yea. Umm, would you mind if I PM'd u or something. As a really tall person I feel like I may have some questions only you would have the insight to answer. Let me know man!
And thanks again guys for participating in the poll it means a lot!
Poll doesn't seem to be working for me, but I'm 5'7". I think it's about the perfect height, really - I'd take another inch or two, ideally in the torso so my shirts would fit better, but I can live just fine with what I've got.
Hey Kyril, I guess it goes both ways doesn't it? To get a good fit width wise I have to wear mens small/medium, but after a wash or two I'm flashing skin lol. Two inches shorter and I'd save a fortune on clothes.
One last post before I crash for the night, can't believe I forgot at first, thank you to El Capitan for assuring me I'm not a douche :) haha
I'm 5'1". It sucks. I can lie and pretend I'm proud of it or not bothered or say height means nothing, but honestly it bothers me to hide my insecurities. For some reason my sister who is 5'8" continues to grow despite being almost 24. I do hope I'll grow at least a few more inches, I mean I haven't grown in I think 5 years. World is so unfair. But anyways, whatever. I've met guys my height so it's not extremely bad but it does ->-bleeped-<- all for passing except for a very young age.
5 foot 3 or 4, dosnt bother me much but it does a little when i see girls who are taller then me, i would like a gf who shorter then me
How about MtF height pole? Is there one?

PS: Self 5' 6.5" be interesting too, or?

Me, I'm 5'4. Does bite a little, especially on dating sites with women saying they don't like short men/prefer guys taller than them :-\ The rest of the time, I remember Ronnie Corbett gets by just fine ;)
5'10". All my life I was given unending ->-bleeped-<- for being tall as a FAAB, and made to feel like a hideous Frankenstein's monster. Well-meaning adults, rather than agree with me that being tall was awesome, would just hesitantly say things like, "Well you... you could be a model, or maybe date a basketball player?" but when I tried to internalize these words of 'wisdom', the small town girls at school would just mock me even more for being so deluded. Even though I never felt it was bad to be tall, it was painful and tiresome to get derided for it constantly.
These days I'm generally one of the tallest guys in the room, if not the tallest, since I tend to be 5'11"-6' when in shoes. I love it.
I'm 5ft :(

It was jealousy and insecurity on their part.
Some people never say what's great about you, but if something can be seen as wrong BAM they are in there, degrading good things. Well do it to themselves but spilling that ->-bleeped-<- onto to others, argh. It's all about making themselves feel good. They have to attempt to drag someone else down to make their inadequate self feel higher up, but infact they've in a true sense sunk low down doing that.
I am 5'8 approx. It varies, but that seems to be the average. Like others, it would be nice to be taller, but I am fine with my height since it is average for men anyway.
I'm about 5'1". I can't say I wouldn't like to be taller, but it's not a major issue. One of my heroes was a very small man; it never got him down.
I'm about 5'7'', and I'm about 1/2 an inch taller than my father, which is all any boy can ask for. ;D
I'm 5'7'' and although there are times when I may wish I was a couple inches taller I think for the most part I'm pretty okay with my height.
I'm 5'2 or 5'3, depending on how it is measured. I joke around about how I hate my height but really, I think I've come to terms with it.

Everyond should be.
All of you guys who are 5'3" and above should be grateful for every single inch.
That's in the "normal" range of height for an adult.
None of you know how it feels to be as short as Nezhi, or even shorter like me.
I know I would give anything(in a sense) to be at least 5'3".
I ask myself all the time, why am I the shortest one in all of my family...it makes no sense to me.
I have a lot to deal with everyday, including not being able to reach certain things.
Yes it brings me down, yes it gets to me.
Especially because there are no short guys who are under 5'2"(rarely). And girls don't like to date "short" guys.
I know height doesn't make the man, but it sure does help. It makes me look sooo much younger. :'(
yeah im 5'6.5-5'7 depends who u ask ;). my gf is 5'7 but im shorter by just a bit. drives me crazy when she wears high hells, yeah i call them high hells becouse i was foced to wear them for my graduation and it was hell (no side walk we had to walk through grass I was pretty much holding on to the chick in front of me and she was trying so hard not to laugh or lose her balance) and becouse they make her a hell of a lot taller then me and it bugs. I keep telling her that when we get hitiched she is gonna wear flats and ill wear inserts so that im taller in photos...she says that it will never happen. oh well a guy can dream right?
I'm only 161cm (I believe that's around 5'2-3''). I was buying myself a watch today and all the gent's watches were way too big for me :P I have the same problem with clothes, I'm not able to find myself trousers with a proper lenght of leg and not too keen on buying from the kid's section.
I'm around 5'6, and while I'd like to be a bit taller, I'm still glad I'm not extremely short.

I have the same problem with watches. It was supposed to be a graduation gift, and all the ones I tried on were too big. I finally found one that fit, but it was $700 (£427). Way too expensive. So my grandma found my late grandfather's watch and is giving it to me. Surprisingly it fits.
If you're still looking for a watch, find one that is close to fitting (doesn't matter if it's a mens or womens, kids, etc) and find out what the dial size is. It should be in a book that the jeweler has access to. Remember that number and search online for a mens watch with the dial size.
im 5 10 and always was tall for my age. now im really happy that im on the taller side. i know height doesnt make the man, but my bulid along with my height helps me a lot. im like thick or big bonned or however you want to say it, not fat, but more built like a man, and not too curvy, so im very thankful for that.
im 5'3
5'6". I live in Russia, and Russian men in general seem to be round 5'5"-5'8" mark (a quick Google tells me I'm probably right), so I'm okay with it. Good thing I plan on moving here permanently once I graduate in a few years :p
Lots of men are short. Dmitiri Medvedev is 5'4"!

Hey Light
Im 5'2 and have to shop exclusively in the boys section and even then on occasion some pants end up being a little too long. Though it does limit my choices, particularly when it comes to style, if I spend a little time searching around on the internet I have found that I can find something I feel great wearing and fits me well and I don't have to spend a boat load of money. It always helps me to know Im not the only one. I have found some sites that carry smaller clothing items. Are we allowed to share specific internet sites on here?

We regularly share specific sites relating to binders, packers, and all sorts of things, so I can't imagine why a link to a clothing store is forbidden. Just give the name of it if you're still apprehensive about posting a direct link.
I'm someone who's been here longer will clear it up further.

I bought a fairly unisex looking ladies watch that fits, I hope it will "pass" :D
Thanks for the advice! Next time it will be a proper gent's watch.

I'll probably start visiting the boys sections as well, it's the pants that are the big problem,
I usually manage to find a smaller shirt that sort of fits.
I have found Zappos.com has really great men's dress shoes in sizes all the way down to size 3. I just bought some black suede wingtip doc martens in size 4 8). I'm unsure about other kinds of shoes or clothing on their site. Shoebuy.com and I thing shoe.com or shoes.com (not much difference) also has a selection of smaller size shoes for men. Also I have found Levi jeans to have such a wide variety of cuts, styles, and colors for their boys jeans that it may be likely for us shorter guys to have some luck with them. I prefer the Levi 511 for what it's worth. The "secret" I have found is to be willing to shop around on the internet some. Google has worked best for me. Many places have free shipping no matter how much you spend.
For some reason the poll isn't working for me, but I'm 5'7. I wouldn't say no to a couple more inches (especially because my brother is 6' and lords it over me), but I'm not complaining.
I'm 5'4... and I HATE it. I get crap from my friends a lot. They tease me for being short and it only makes my height dysphoria worse. What I would give for having three more (real) inches. My best friend (a girl) is 5'7 (actually I'm the shortest in my group of friends) and I hate being looked down on. I always compare myself to other dudes when I'm out and I get depressed and will be for the entire day. I just wish I could be taller. One day when I was really depressed I looked at limb lengthening surgery but then decided it wasn't worth the risks especially since most people who get it hope to gain 3 inches only end up gaining half an inch. At the moment there's not much I can do about it but be thankful. So, I am working on that and my self esteem instead (something I CAN change).

I'm 5'2.
EVERYDAY I see lot of boys taller than me and I caught myself envying their bodies...
But I would not mind if I was a short biological man.
Yeah, this rings true with me aswell
I'm 5'5-5'6. I count myself lucky because I'm (barely) taller than both my parents and am half-Asian.
I'm 5'0", 5'2" in my shoes. I'd like to be much taller and I go back and forth about how much my height bothers me; sometimes it doesn't at all and sometimes I just can't get over it. My biggest concern is finding clothes that fit. I feel better when I'm wearing stuff that isn't huge on me.
I'm 5'6" ish.
I'm either the same height or taller than most women but always shorter than most men.
But at least I am taller than my girlfriend and her family, including her dad. They all seem to be 5'2".
Last time I measured I was 5'7". It's a pretty average height in my locality, very few are at 6' but whenever I visit my family I'm so short. My 12 year old cousin is already 5'8 and all of my uncles are well over 6'. My mum is the shortest in her family so it's all with bad genetics, haha. I'm not too concerned with height though. When I was younger I wanted to stay small, I wanted to be under 5' simply because I wanted to be invisible. Recently I've been having envy pangs with some of cis-male friends who are taller than me but it's nothing too bad...
I'm almost 5'7 barefoot.
When I lived in Michigan and Indiana I was typically one of the shorter guys which was really apparent when I was in a choir of 50 men who were all 5'9-6'5. Now that I have moved to Florida I've noticed I'm average or taller than many of the men here. Feels awesome! haha
I'm 5'8". I'm as tall as my dad and my brother is 6', which taller than both our parents (my mom is 5'4" btw). I'm as tall as the majority of the guys from my home country and a good 5 to 6 inches taller than the average woman there. :p
Under 5', Im 18 and im 4'10. :(
5'5". Wish I were a bit taller, but then, I've always liked short guys, so I'll be alright down here. Or I'll relocate to a region with a shorter average height. You say Florida, Jakeas?
I'm 5'3 but I'm actually okay with that. I just remind myself that there are short bio guys as well. I can think of at least 3 guys I went to high school with that are still the same height as me today.

Would your friends still tease you if they knew how much it upsets you? I would hope not or they are not very good friends.
I am M2F but while I was male I lived happily at 5'5". I think you are letting it get you down when many many birthmales cope with being your height or less! My dad is 5'2" give or take and he has a huge chip on his shoulder about it, in other words he does more to make himself feel short than anyone else does to make him feel short!
My advice? Tell your friends it hurts when they tease you about it and don't worry what everyone else thinks!
xx
I'm 5'5. Latinos generally don't get very tall but maybe T could give me a little extra height.
5,2
I'm around 5'3...I wish I was taller, but I'm learning to accept my shortness
5'7 and three quarters barefoot, which is kind of a strange place to be. I seem to be randomly growing, it would be nice if I could reach 5'8 although I'm not really uncomfortable with my height.
Hey guys, I don't know if this will help or just be an unwanted imposition.
I am a genetic male, I have not started hrt at all. My height is 5'10" which from what I can tell is average height for males. I have a friend that is 5'6" and he is the tall brother in his family.
I just wanted to say that height shouldn't be a major factor in passing so I would hope that those who are worried about their height can be at a bit more ease.
5'4''.
It is awkward to be around taller guys, sure. But I'd rather this than be tall as this one guy I knew, who had to duck not to smack his head going through most doorways. Klutz + tall is a recipe for brain damage I just don't need.
You guys really shouldn't hang too much on your height. I'm 6'0" and I tower over most guys. 6'0" really isn't all THAT tall, but I'm taller than the majority of men. There are a lot more men who are 5'5" and under then there are women who are 6'0"+ or even 5'10"+. I'm hoping I loose an inch or so when I start HRT, but I'm betting it won't happen for me. I honestly have a feeling that I'll look exactly the same, even after a couple years of HRT.
I am 5'4 It would be nice to be taller but it doesn't bother me anymore that much its all about confidence no one ever gives me bs about my height and it hasn't stopped the girls from wanting to date me I have had girls taller than me who wanna date me so its no biggie.
5'9" and I feel fortunate that I am taller than the average U.S. natal female.
I already mentioned my height in another thread.. but I guess it wouldn't hurt to repeat myself :P (even though this thread appears to be from 2011 lol)
Anyway, I'm usually measured anywhere from 4'9" to 4'11", and to be honest.. I don't enjoy being short. At all. It's one of my many insecurities, really, but at the age of 22.. there's nothing I can do about it. ::) (but that doesn't prevent me from wishing to grow a few inches every time my birthday rolls around  )
I'm 173cm which is slightly over 5'8. I feel pretty fortunate to fall within pretty normal bounds of NA men. I'm the same height as my oldest brother and only about 1-2" less than my dad. I'm significantly taller than the females in my family. Not sure what happened but hey, not complaining. Would love to grow taller on T but I wouldn't be surprised if I don't.
I'm 5'2". My height doesn't really bother me most of the time. Lots of jewish men are short so I figure I come by it honestly.
I'm 5'3ish and just turned twenty last week. Height is the #1 cause of my dysphoria next to my perfect child-bearing hips and massive boobs. Even with a BMI of 18, my boobs seem massive to me and my hips seem more pronounced than ever. I basically have to have a BMI of 15 to have any changes in the size of my hips, but I've been trying not to starve myself, just in case there's some remote possibility of growing, though it's laughable now.
The girl I like is 5'7". I'd be fine at 5'7" or even 5'6", but at this height I haven't got a chance in hell. It's not her fault either. She's a great person, but I wouldn't even be attracted to me in her position. *sigh*

I try not to let my height bother me too much but it gets a little too much being 24 years old and if I'm out with some friends who are on the taller side or just around average, there are times I end up being picked up... Literally... I even got asked for an ID the other day when ordering a cup of coffee...
5'5 here.. Haven't checked for a year or so though. Started at just a little above 5'4 pre-T
5'6 and 3/4. I just say 170cm or 5'7.
I'm 171 cm (I guess that's about 5'7) and I've always thought I was short, and I've never really liked my height. I would LOVE to be around 6'1-6'2 thereabout, but I know that'll never happen. But when I'm out in the city and just randomly look around, I see a lot of men who actually aren't that tall, maybe just a few centimeters taller than me, so that comforts me a bit :P
5'4"
I am a measly 5'3ish won't round it to 4 cause that'd be a lie.. But!! After my stint in Russia I'll be round 5'7 so I'll be good after that hopefully xD
5'11" but like getting closer to 6' it seems lately >.<
i'm quite blessed with my height
I'm 5'5" and sad that the poll is closed.
I'm a huge statistics nerd.
5'2" :L

Ooooh. Are you getting leg lengthening surgery? I want to get it done too. I don't have any money, but I'd be willing to do ANYTHING for the money. The only problem is, all the countries who do it also aren't LGBT friendly.
5' 1-2"
Only issues are finding pants, when there is no ladder, no step stool, or tall friend.

I've never had issues with pants since I buy Levi's (I know my size and buy cheap pairs around ~20 USD maximum price on Ebay).. but 5'2'' here and 28x28 in pantsize or sometimes 27x27. I hate getting shirts though. Hard to find a good fit X_X

Okkkay well don't go saying that to just anybody dude might be taken the wrong way lol and I am for sure hopefully next year but its tricky getting a spot cause it's so limited with the doc I want *sigh* anyways yes they aren't the most accepting especially russia.. But this is life changing I figured I can grow my hair out and just lay low til it's done that's not a big sacrifice for me considering I'm goin there for a surgical procedure not exactly a vacation. PM me if u want some info on it
I'm 5ft 5in in shoes, maybe a quarter inch under barefoot. I used to feel all kinds of crap about it, but I've been paying attention recently, and every day I walk past at least a dozen cis or cis passing dudes who are my height or shorter. If I hadn't been lazer-focused on finding the short guys, I never would have noticed. It's making me believe that height is less of an issue than I had always thought.
One of my good friends is my height exactly, and I've never seen him get crap for being short. He's a guy, he's never assumed to be anything other than a guy, and it's never been an emasculating or embarrassing thing for him. Secretly, I find it really heartening.
I'm 5 ft 6. Would like an inch or two more. But not going to grumble
I come from a tall family and I wanted to hit '6 but I ended up around 5'9, which I am not at all fussed about. I think if I had been honest with myself at 16 when I realized I was trans instead of waiting another ten years to start transition I might have hit six feet. But I'm tall and skinny enough that I don't care anymore. I would have really liked those three inches, but meh, it all comes out in the wash.
I am taller than all my female friends, but I'm not looking at girls lol. I'm definitely gay, and I do like guys that are taller than me so it works out okay. With tennis shoes on I'm at 5'10 usually, but I wear converses more than anything so that's probably only half an inch of height. :p
I'm 5'6, just under the average height for men here in Japan. The younger dudes are so tall though! Jealous.
I'm preT and love it when women compliment me on my height and looks, it's gonna be a rough ride becoming a shorter-than-average old trans dude (and possibly bald soon too, I have my dad's hair and his started to fall in his 30s). ::)
I'm 6'. I'm super grateful for it now, but I sure went through hell for it in high school.
No need to feel bad, dude.
I'm 17 and I'm 4'11. My friends have thus nicknamed me a Hobbit.
It kind of sucks because I'm a senior but people assume I'm just a mature freshman because of my height.
I'm only about 4ft 11. Think I'll be the shortest guy that I know. Doesn't bother me too much though. There's things I hate far more about my body than my height.
5'1" and hating it but I've come to the realization that I actually know a lot of cis guys the same or shorter and aside from the occasional hobbits joke no one seems to think less of them. I do wish I could just get a couple more I inches though. I'd be happy with 5'4 even.
All well. If I can just get my outsized to match my insides I'll find a way to be happy with it. Some girls like short guys, right? ;D I hope so anyway.
I'm 5 foot 4 inches tall, with small hands but big feet.
I'm about 5'7, maybe 5'8. The men in my family are all extremely tall while most of the girls are smaller, luckily I'm kinda in the middle.
I'm 5'4. I hate being short, but I see a lot of guys at the mall who are shorter than me and they look pretty manly. Plus, there are some MMA fighters, men in particular, that are my height or shorter so that helps boost my confidence. Vegeta is 5'3 and he is a manly man too. :)
Still, I wish I was a lot taller though.
5'6"
I'm only 5' 2" :/ Yet again I'm also a teenager, so I'm hoping to at least reach 5' 5"... You're a lucky duck to be taller, man. I'm the shortest guy in my entire school and it sucks.
5'4" I'd love to get taller but it is what it is.
I consider myself lucky. I'm 5'9"
I'm 5'4...it doesn't bother me. My (cisgender) brother is the same height--our mom is 5 feet so she sort of ruined any chance for height haha
I'm 5'5", which I'm not overly happy about. I'm pretty sure that my growth plates have fused because it happens a lot earlier in females than males, so that kills my chances of growing any taller. My younger brother is 5'8" and will probably still grow.
I'm kinda meh..about my height. Went to dr today and he said 5'6.
I"m hoping to grow to at least 5'7 or 8. Most guys in jersey are around my height or shorter so I'm not complaining.
I am one of the shorter siblings and shortest guy in my family at 5'8. I always wanted to be at least 6ft but no luck on that.
I am 5'6 but people say I look more like 5'8 ;D :P ::)
I'm 5'2" with small hands and I've hated it ever since I can remember. Also, what is FAAB?

Not sure if this thread is still active or anything but I guess I'm posting anyway :)
I'm 5'9" and I guess I'm grateful to be this tall even though I'm pre-T and everything, but I still get really bad height dysphoria. I guess that's cause I live in Sweden and up here 5'9" (or 175cm) is below the male average (like quite a bit below) and also my whole family is taller than me, even my mom. But I'm still pretty young so I'm hoping to get another few inches before I stop growing.
5'2"... I shrank, because I was 5'3" after back surgery! *sigh*
I'm 5'2 on a good day, which is obnoxious because people assume I'm more feminine or submissive.
I'm 5'5" and some days it makes me so uncomfortable but hey it's my height and I can't change it so I'm working on accepting it more. After all, while it'd be nice to be about 6' , height doesn't make a man. Some people do give me a hard time for being short, I ignore it. And I've talked to people taller than me, dated, and even almost married them. If it's the right person they won't mind your height whatever it may be.
5'8 (178 cm)
5'3". Sucks but what can you do. At least I know that I stand taller when (kind of) presenting as a guy so that's got to help?
5'5" checking in. Was potentially going to be even shorter... I was 4' nothing until puberty and then grew a foot and a half in about a year when I was 14. My parents were starting to talk about growth hormones at one point... ah if I'd only known...

Lucky dude I'm gonna have to pay about 100,000 to reach your height lol
I'm 5'5" and almost a half and want to die
5' 5" almost exactly, i think. i am fine with this until the women i know who are taller start rubbing it in or calling it "cute"...
5'6"... so 5'7" in my shoes.

SAME
If they rub in being taller than you, clap and congratulate them on finally achieving something.
I'm 5'7&1/3" or exactly 171cm.
I too have height dyshoria, being the shortest in my family except for my Mom. Even my baby sister is taller than me. She's 6' tall.

I'm 6ft and happy with it. I think it's a good height to have.
5' 4", which is annoying. My shortest cis male friend is 5' 6". What are you going to do, though? I'm 45, so it's not like I'm going to grow with T. At least I have a lot of FTM friends who are about my height, so when I hang out with them I don't feel so short.
5'8 and fine with it. Sure I'd love to be 6'0 but I'm alright. As an aside, I work with college students so I interact with a lot of cis males everyday. About half of them are probably 5'1-5'7. Not all guys are tall.
I'm 5' 5.5" It sounds even shorter when i add the 1/2 inch in there lol.

At 5'7 & 1/3", I too add in the fraction since it makes me exactly 171centimeters tall. [emoji4]
If its any consulation, 5'5.5" is 165 centimeters.

I'm 5'8.5. I'm a stickler for including that half inch because it annoys my mom (5'8; doesn't want to be shorter than me) and my brother (5'9; likes to say he's 1 inch taller than me). Back when I thought I was a girl I was really self-conscious about being taller than all the guys, but now I'm glad for it. Would like to be a few inches taller but I can accept 5'8. The guys in my family are usually pretty short by cis standards anyway.
"Officially" 5'3, ;DDD!!! Dunno for sure... don't wanna know, ;D! But short! I'm shorter than most females.......
BUT: There isn't a day when I don't come across a cis guy who is about my height. (Ok, maybe a bit taller than me - but generally "short".) That makes me feel good, :)!
And I've come across multiple cismales during my life who are actually SHORTER than me! You can't beat genetics, I guess, ;D! Think of Asian guys or the Spanish... some are short. After all, I don't think height has much to do with passing...!
I also remind myself that I could have been born with dwarfism so... I could actually be much shorter than this! And they "pass" as males too, so...! Height isn't everything, ;)! Kick-ass attitude is!
I hate it when my gf wears high heels, though, xDDD!

Too lazy to convert feet to meters (don´t exclude, use the metric system! ;D)
I´m 1.80 and very lucky at that. Most Dutch guys either have the same height or are taller than me. I find it acceptable to be of average height.

According to my converter app, you're 5' tall. But I interpreted "1.80" as "one meter +. 8 meter." I could be wrong.

180 centimeters. So 1 meter 80 cm. ;D
Which according to the web is 5"10 (I got curious).
For reference keep in mind that Dutch men are among the tallest worldwide. My cousins are all taller than me.

Oh wow, lucky you!
Unfortunately for me, I ended up with my Mom's short gene. Mom is 5'3"/160cm, and I'm 5'7 &1/3" tall. The "1/3rd inch is very important as it makes me exactly 171cm tall!
My siblings are all taller, from the next shortest being 5'9"/175cm up to 6'5"/195cm. Even my baby sister is 6'/182cm tall!
I suppose in the grand scheme of things, I could have been shorter, but it still doesn't mean I don't have a bit of "short person syndrome!" [emoji16]

Last time I was measured I was 5'5, it was a while ago and I have crap posture so I'm probably actually a little bit taller than that q: I have combat boots but I don't wear them often, they have big soles. I'll probably wear them tomorrow to support my ankle after I goosed it when I fell over today, I'm lying in bed right now and it feels bad man
The other day I made a 7ft tall D&D character, but he was totally dwarfed by the natives of the place the party travelled to: the natives are all like ten feet tall. I'm just glad I didn"t pick a Kobold character, being 2 feet tall can't be fun in a place like that
I'm the shortest in my family at 167cm or 5'6". Don't have any dysphoria or discomfort over ny height, though it can be difficult to reach stuff sometimes. I've seen plenty of presumably cis men my height or shorter, so I've never had a concern around being read as trans due to my height.
Do I wish I was taller? Sometimes, especially when it would be convenient to grab things from top shelves.
Yeah, that's one of those things that makes it easier to be fine about my height. There are men shorter than I am in the family. My last partner is my height.
If I'd only ever been surrounded by or seen gigantic men I suppose I'd feel freakish.
6'3". I was incredibly tall as a woman. Even for non binary which is how I identify, I am super tall.
I'm 5'5", which is I guess considered short for guys? I dunno, I've had guy friends ranging from my height or shorter to way taller than me, so I try not to think about the "statistics".
I'm 5'2 and I have seriously considered one of those surgeries to lengthen my legs.
5'5.... not so bad for an Asian since I regularly encounter guys of the same height or even shorter, but additional height would be nice.
i'm about 5'2" - 5'3" and i don't care about my height. other people care about my height more than i do. actually other guys seem to care about my height more than i do. girls don't care from my experience. it hasn't stopped me from being taken seriously, dating, what ever. i actually date girls with a good height difference between me and them (5'7"+). do i think being taller would be more of a benefit in some situations? sure. do those situations come up enough for me to be dysphoric about my height? nope.
I'm 5'2" and I've always hated it not even just bc of the trans guy thing. So I'm Kevin Hart sized but since I have to deal with it I will. Once I finally get top surgery won't care about much [emoji4][emoji38]

I'm 5'6" but I really like my height. It feels very natural to me somehow. And it's a very practical height, cause I'm a bit taller than the average woman and a bit shorter than the average man so I'm just... average human? I've noticed that most things are kinda made for my height. In dating I don't care if a guy is shorter or taller than me, and I'm not into women. Only thing that slightly bugs me about my height is that I'm the shortest in my family, so both my mother and my younger sister are taller than me, as well as my father. (My father is 6'2", my mother is 5'9" and my sister is 5'7").
I'd love to be 5'7" tall. Perfect height, in my opinion. Not so tall, not so short.
I'm around 5ft, or 153cm. It's been a while since the last time I measured. I don't like my height that much but I try to ignore it, I've encountered several cis guys shorter than me and there are plenty of men who are not thaat taller than me neither. And, anyway, I was shorter than the rest since always.
I always wanted to be tall.
Comes from being bullied as a kid. The other kids sensed something off about me and would harass me constantly after school (which is quite weird. I never saw anything like it at my school. They would usually just call girls names, make them cry and have done with it. But me? no, they wanted to beat me up like a boy. They wanted me to know twenty of them had sworn they were going to come and kill me. Lol). Chase me about, throw rocks at me, wreck my stuff, or just walk up and try to kick me. If I were taller I doubt they would have been so keen on that.
I learned though that taller guys often get more crap from other guys who just want to fight someone. My days working in a bar taught me that
I'm 5'4'', not that short for an asian, but pretty short for a guy. I guess I'm lucky in that when people see me, they're more likely to attribute my height to my race than possibly being trans.

Man, 6'3''? How tall is the rest of your family?
I didn't vote - clicked "just want to see results" a while ago like a dork.
But I'm just shy of 5'9". I like that there are guys shorter than me (lots of em, including my husband), and that there are guys taller than me too.
OMG. I am so happy I saw this post. I'm just barely 5'. I'm just starting on the whole idea of transitioning and one of my biggest worries was that I am going to be a Super short dude!!! It's so good to see I'm not alone!
6'2 and honestly its such a gift. When I was little I always said I wanted to be tall like my dad when I grew up, and would you look at that I got my wish.
