Aya's Discourse

It's a topic that's been written about before by some, and swept under the rug by others, about the "ideal transsexual". If any of you have ever read my previous posts about my personal experiences, you already know that my childhood wasn't quite the by-the-book childhood of a transsexual that is so commonly found on the internet. But it seems that anywhere I've looked for stories about transsexuals, I always, ALWAYS see that the majority of the stories are picture-perfect, 'no doubt about it' clues that they were transgender from a ridiculously young age. While many of the stories may indeed be true, I am upset with the discouraging expectations that this imposes onto those who have not had the most hinting of childhoods.
I can see the desire to try and idealise a transition, to try and make sure it's as smooth and quick as possible but in reality we are all different. There is no right or wrong way.. just multiple unique paths that we take to achieve a personal subjective goal. One person may travel a road twice as far to reach their place of contentment.. while another may only need to go half as far to feel fulfilled and complete.
Kia Ora,
::) In a sense my "transition" was picture perfect..."The past is dead and gone[being transsexual that is]-the future is still evolving... I live NOW and NOW is NICE so I'm content just living in the evolving moment...If this make any sense...Well to me it does anyway...

As much as there is this notion of being a "picture perfect" transsexual, a.k.a. "true transsexual", having the 'knowing factor from the earliest possible age' there is still no observable proof that someone who comes from a background where as the author describes in effect; 'not understanding clearly' what it was we were struggling with; is not just as viably legitimate in who they know themselves to be. We are!
A transsexual is a transsexual, is a transsexual. If you change sexes; if you have full and/or strongest of intents to change sexes, you're a transsexual dammit!
All of the non-egalitarian elitism really needs to come to an end.
