Title: told the mother!
Post by: Jude on June 03, 2011, 12:16:07 PM
So yesterday evening when my mom got home from work I told her that "I feel male on the inside, like I have a male brain and a female body". She was actually pretty good about it. I expected her to blow me off but she didnt. She is going to the doctor on monday with my sister for an unrelated issue and said she's going to talk to my doctor about it and ask him about psychologists/counsellors in our area who can help me. And when she said help me, she clarified and said "Not cure you, but make you feel better and decide what is the best course of action"

Also, do you guys ever not feel dysphoric? Like do you ever have a day where you feel chill about your body but you still know you're mind is male?

Awesome!  I'm really happy for you.  I really hope she keeps that attitude.  Although I would recommend being slightly prepared for her to change her mind once you start to change.

Yeah everyday is like that now for the most part.  Although looking in the mirror after a shower is still difficult.  Basically I just try to focus on good things, such as all the muscle I'm building.  Instead of the bad, aka breasts and fat deposits.

Once I'm dressed and passing well and having my packer in my pants I normally feel pretty good.

Thank you! And that's a good point, I never thought of that. About her changing her mind.

And cool :) that's good to hear! I was worried that because lately I haven't been actively hating my body that I wasn't transgender anymore or something weird like that :S it was kinda worrying me
