In this episode, CNN tracks down George Rekers, the therapist who treated four-year-old Kirk Murphy and turned him into Rekers's poster boy for ex-gay therapy. Here we see Rekers learning about Kirk's suicide at the age of 38. He responds by saying that there is no evidence that Kirk's suicide was the result of Kirk's treatment. He also tries to exonerate himself by saying:

Two independent psychologists of me had evaluated him and said he was better adjusted after treatment. So it wasn't my opinion.

CNN's look at the disgusting ex-gay movement's toll continues tonight with the last part of 'The Sissy-Boy Experiment.' As we've mentioned before, Box Turtle Bulletin's Jim Burroway has done an in-depth investigation into George Rekers' junk science. He elaborates on CNN's coverage from last night; it goes into the scandalous fall of Rekers in the rent-boy/luggage lifting scandal as well.

I thought Rekers was toast after his gay luggage boy fiasco (http://www.ontopmag.com/article.aspx?id=5690&MediaType=1&Category=26), also known as the "Rentboy" scandal.  He did some serious tap dancing then.

BTW, is "homosexual homophobe" in the DSM?  Just wondering.

If the majority is crazy, does that make them sane?

Actually, according to the DSM, the answer to your question is "Yes".  While reading about phobias I found something that effectively said if the majority of people fear something then it is considered normal.  I took that to mean the APA is influenced by public opinion when determining criteria for the DSM.  Not very professional.
