Title: Buying man things online
Post by: Frank on June 10, 2011, 08:54:39 AM
I was just thinking a bit ago that some of the younger (and some older) guys here might have a problem buying things online because they lack a credit card. Solution? Get all your money together, then go to some place like Walmart and ask for a pre-paid card and load up whatever amount you need on it. Hope that helps someone. - Frank

Even though I do have a regular credit card, I usually use a prepaid card for online buying.  That way, if the info is stolen, I don't lose much as long as I don't load up the card much.

Or if you want to establish credit, go to the bank use that money for a certifict of deposit and  open a secured credit card. You'll get the cash back with interest when it matures about 18 months later. That's what I did.

The subject title made me think of this site.  It's pretty cool actually, organizes everything nicely for you.

That's great, actually.  I love things that help me be lazy.
