As city commissioners voted Tuesday to approve her as one of six finalists to interview for the city manager position, Susan Stanton waited in the lobby of a Washington, D.C. hotel for a CNN camera crew.

Stanton's current notoriety as the country's most famous transsexual has risen to a fever pitch at the same time she becomes a serious contender for Sarasota's top job.

Man, this whole thing is giving such a black eye to the small people in Largo. Even if she doesn't get that position, I'm sure she will soon get another one.
