R.I. Senate approves same-sex marriage 26 to 12

The state senate voted to allow same-sex marriages in the state where couples can marry starting August first. The bill now goes onto the House Judiciary Committee, and if passed there, Rhode Island will be the tenth state in the country to allow same-sex marriage and the last New England state to legalize it.
