Check mark next to screen name in posts

I notice that some people have a little check mark next to their name in their posts.

What is this supposed to mean?

It's for verified members. If we know for certain who someone is, which usually means we met them in person, they can be marked as verified.

The meaning behind the verified checkmark ✅ is simply an assurance for our Membership that
any Postings, Private Forum Messages, or Email communication submitted by "verified" staff
provides a state of certainty that the communication and information is
bona fide, legitimate, real, genuine, and authentic.
