Hello,

i have been struggling with my weight for quite some time and have tried to loose weight a few times already.
Usually i would loose a little and gain even more again very soon. Also weight loss was slow.
Now i have lost around 15 pounds in the last few month. It's great and i am very happy about it but i am wondering why it is so easy suddenly. I loose around 2 pounds every week. I did change my diet but i am not super strict and i never starve. Usually i'll have a salad with some chicken or beef for lunch. For dinner i try to also have the salad but there's lots of days where i want something more substantial. So i get something unhealthy. This last week i had pizza once, i had two burgers, two times i got some breaded chicken from the Japanese place around the corner (i didn't eat the rice ) and one night i had a big bowl of chicken wings. That's 6 bad meals in 7 days and i still lost 2 pounds! I don't work out ever and spend my days in front of the computer. I am wondering if this is possible or if i might be sick? I don't feel worse than usual so besides the weight loss and diet nothing changed. Do you think having a salad once a day can have such a huge impact?
I never have breakfast btw. I pretty much stopped eating breakfast when i was 16.

If you are experiencing sudden weight loss for no apparent reason it is very sensible to get checked by a Doctor to make sure that there is not an underlying issue of concern.

Hi Cindy,

well i did change my diet. I just didn't expect it to be so efficient.
I'll go see my doctor next week i guess.

If you are just starting hrt and mtf, then the sudden weight loss could be muscle loss.  Once I got closer to my ideal weight, weight loss for me became hard.  I'm hovering at 149 right now.

you know how far the universe extends outward? i think i go inside just as deep.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.
Age 10 - suppression and denial began
Age 8 - knew I was different

Sometimes weight loss seems to do strange things like stalling for a while or like you, suddenly dropping.

Once you rule out sickness or disease with the Dr. then track your weight trends over several weeks instead of several days.  That gives you a much more accurate picture of what's happening with your weight loss efforts.

That too.  As you reach lower bodyfat levels it gets much harder to lose anything.  Resist the temptation to starve your body into submission at that point because if you do you'll be losing lean mass instead of fat and end up in a worse place than where you started.

Thanks everybody,

i'm still far away from my ideal weight and i did not start with HRT.
I want to loose weight first before i start any kind of transition.
I've been tracking my weight for the past few month and i lost quite a lot in that timeframe.
I'll schedule an appointment with my doctor on monday. I hope everything is ok...
