Dentist today for a scrape and polish with the hygienist, 5mins work and £53 on the NHS robbing b******.
 Made mum breakfast this morning and found a pack of bacon in the fridge with use by 5th on it so put it in her air fryer and brought it home with me along with some of her tomatoes that needed using. Pasta, bacon and tomato for my lunch. Stayed at mums and did some jobs as didnt want to drive home just for a few hours, back home after dentist for 1.45 so got a lazy afternoon (I need one!)

I don't actually care about bacon but I wanted to make the joke. Wait is that American Bacon? If yours the same as ours? Does your chest get tight when you eat it, if not its not American bacon.

I don't actually care about bacon but I wanted to make the joke. Wait is that American Bacon? If yours the same as ours? Does your chest get tight when you eat it, if not it's not American bacon.

Controversial opinion but American bacon is not proper bacon. We do have it though, we call it streaky bacon over here there is a slight difference due to the different woods we use for smoking but it's both belly pork cuts.

We use back bacon which is way nicer, meatier, leaner and cut from the loin though it does include a tiny section of belly in it. If you can get it try it, It's far nicer. We also have a thing called Ayreshire roll which is the back bacon rasher with a full rasher of the streaky belly bacon attached basically the entire cross section of the piggy. Best of both worlds.

Mum said can you collect my prescription, well I was calling in on docs to confirm my address (dont start me on that or I will rant!) . So after finding the dispensary was closed till 1.30 I then stood behind a woman talking to receptionist for what felt like 10mins, told her what I was doing and she said I need a form of identification .Back out to the car to get my drivers licence ,what a faff as been with the same docs practice for 71years!  Then I had to wait for dispensary to open only for them to say the prescription only went in 2 days ago and will be ready next week!! If you wait 15mins we can do it, I was a bit short with him and said if you make it up I will get it in the morning. I did say not getting at you just the system. What a PIA.

Yeah it is getting crazy now. You used to be able to go to the docs get a prescription on a piece of paper walk to the pharmacy hand it over  and pick up your meds. Now as it's all been "improved" by the digital revolution I have to wait up to 3 days for it to be ready!

It is how it is here, except you get to the pharmacy and they say it wont be ready for 2-3 days! IT's a recent change. I think it might be because the government started telling people to see pharmacists instead of GP's for a whole rnge of things and now the pharmacists are too busy.

I am so sick of evey consecutive government cutting and scrimping with our public services. They have even been telling the armed services to stop non essential training to save money. What sort of a message does that show with Putin sabre rattling from the Kremlin?!! The British army is one of the best trained services in the world but they soon won't be if they won't let them train!

The pharmacy at the docs even has a robot shelf picker so no excuse for it takes time to find stuff. All this computer/ need to use a mobile app stuff is rubbish, I live in a fairly dense populated area and the phone signal is very poor.

Agreed. Last year, I was standing in the Manager's office asking to fill out a rental application. She said I have to submit it online.

I just looked at her. "I'm standing right here!"

I wanted to push her out of her chair so I could submit the application on her computer.

That is the process.

I went to the camping shop, no gas fitting seals or double air bed. Will use my winter extra thick duvet to lie on with the old air bed under to help stop any damp. Have to look in my fibre washers to see if I have correct size for the gas fittings.

My company plan requires I get supplied for three months of patches every time.  Saves them money and it saves me time, thankfully.

I get my meds from local chemist as I live in town not from the docs, tbh I think the docs is closer to me than the chemist!! Roast pork, roast potatoes (in the air fryer) and frozen mixed veg cooked in water in the microwave, made some instant beef gravy to go with it. That was a good dinner.

Dratted DPF light came on in the daily, okay I will go home via the motorway to clear it. On the way to the workshop engine management light came on so I had to get D to do a forced regen, still had to do the motorway trip .It cleared in the end but I had to drive at 60/70 in 3rd and 4th gears to get the revs up for 6 or more miles, its getting stuck behind the idiots doing 38mph or slower in a 60 zone that stop the engine management system from clearing the filter.
  Anyway mum was a bit better yesterday morning and sat in her chair for a good while, I have to make tea tonight and then wait to make her bed time drink (PIA) . Hope to get back home for 8.30.
 Need to get the teardrop caravan sorted for next week, good clean ,charge battery and sort the gas fitting seals out.
