When you make cookies, what kinds do you bake?

When you make cookies, what kinds do you bake?

Do you usually make them from scratch or do you use usually a box of ingredients and perhaps add butter, etc.?


Or perhaps you just buy them and/or just eat them!
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Oatmeal cookies can be really good!
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. I make all varieties of cookies... oatmeal-raisin, molasses cookies,
peanut butter cookies, snickerdoodles, cut-out sugar cookies with spirinkles, etc, etc.....

...but the one kind that I make most often is Chocolate Chip Cookies.

I don't have the patience to bake. I love the smell of them in the oven, or sitting out to cool.

So I buy the box of ingredients that are pre-mixed, pre-baked, and ready to eat. My current favorite is the Nutter Butter cookies.  ;D

Probably just 3-5 pounds.

I have loved baking for most of my life and I really love baking cookies.

My faves would be Peanut Butter, Snickerdoodles, Chocolate Crinkles, Chocolate Chip but with a variety of different chips used, like white chocolate or milk chocolate or caramel chips, oh and Toffee Bars.

Chocolate chip cookies from scratch starting with creamed butter.
I'll make the dough the day before and cook them in small batches when I cook something else in the oven.

I make an oatmeal chocolate chip with walnut cookie from time to time.  Coconut is a fun variation.  If the oven is already hot from pizza or the like, scratching together a small batch is rewarding.

I don't often bake biscuits but when I do it's normally things like shrewesbury biscuits, shortbread, macaroons, amaretti, soft chewey chocolate chip cookies that sort of thing. I love making flapjacks (I make a particularly nice cherry and coconut one with a thick chocolate topping mmmmm! but I don't think they fall under your definition of cookies.

It's harder to love and create than hate and destroy. Love and creation takes more energy. Where hate and destruction can be done with a single word that can haunt you for a life time.
