Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has apparently just discovered that the Republican Party is not pro-woman.

She used her anti-trans health care bill, the so-called Protect Children's Innocence Act, as an example, saying House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) promised her a vote on the bill when the shutdown ended, but that he has yet to bring it to the floor.

Greene called the bill "a key piece of legislation that is one of President Trump's top campaign promises."

"That's to protect any child under the age of 18 from gender-affirming care," she explained. "Our position is let these kids grow up. They need to grow up before they do any permanent changes to their body."

The bill, which Greene has been trying to push through Congress for several years, would ban transgender youth from accessing gender-affirming care and make it harder for trans adults to get such care by banning government insurance programs from paying for it and banning medical schools from teaching about it.
