Welcome to Susan's Place, ReceptiveBlossoming1
Thank you for sharing your story with us. Knowing from such a young age and then having to wait so many years before it finally felt safe to come out is something many people here understand. Reaching this point matters, and I'm very glad you're here.
I was especially touched by what you wrote about seeing yourself in the mirror and not wanting to turn away.
Moments like that can stay with you. After carrying so much inside for so long, being able to look and recognize yourself can bring a deep sense of relief. I'm really happy you were able to feel that kind of love for yourself.
Many people here have had similar moments, when you stop seeing a stranger and can finally see yourself. Over time, even the remnants of the old image begin to fade, and you simply see you.
You're right that each person's path is different. What you'll find here are people at many stages, all learning in their own ways and very willing to share what they've picked up along the road. There is space here for excitement, fear, uncertainty, and discovery. All of it is welcome.
You don't have to fit everything into one introduction. Take your time. Ask questions when you have them, share when you feel ready, and move at the pace that feels right for you. We'll be here, and you won't have to walk it alone.
I'm grateful you chose to join us, and I look forward to getting to know you better.
With love and support,
—Susan 💜
