Death Valley sees its most spectacular superbloom in a decade
The wildflowers have painted the usually barren landscape of Death Valley National Park — one of the hottest and driest places in the country — in pretty pink, purple and yellow.

The desert in bloom is always beautiful to me. Some cacti have beautiful flowers. But these are wildflowers, which are not as common without the right conditions.

Some cool pictures in this article.

I had been to Death Valley in early March some 20 years ago.  I was amazed at how many things were in bloom, truly Amazed.  If you like camping, February/March is the best time to visit death Vally.  Before the heat sets in.  Be warned, it can get cold at night.
