I'll be driving there Saturday morning, spending the day, then driving home at night. I'm really looking forward to seeing several of my friends.
Luckily, it's less than a 3 hour drive. Unfortunately, gas prices are now very high.
While most people there dress up, I'll be dressed in casual attire: a long-sleeved knit top, some jeans and some comfortable shoes. I bought a top that I really like but it's short-sleeved, and the weather here remains a bit chilly. My style has always been pretty casual and I don't yet feel inclined to change it.
I think that for many who attend, it's their once-a-year chance to be themselves for a week in a completely safe space. Makes me feel a bit sad but also happy that they have that outlet.
