Were cooling down. Only a high of 79*f (26*c) It will be in the upper 80s to low 90s (29* to 33*c) in a month or so. Then June 1 starts hurricane season. I'll be watching the weather daily then

29-33 celcius is peak British summertime for us. Though we did get into the 40's a few years ago. We're spared the hurricanes though of course.

Do you get there with 90% humidity?

Not up here it doesn't, you're probably right about that down South though. We're usually a few degrees cooler too. I don't like hot and humid.

You never lose your light, Annika. Even when facing an insufferable oaf at times. <3 I am so glad you are back here and sharing your light with people who might also be unsure.

Light in the darkest night, sweetie. Never forget that. <3 People who don't want you, don't deserve you. And people who want to make life hard for you... you're worth more.

You are, and will always be an inspiration to me. You've seen the storms and the calm through life. And navigated both with grace and gentleness. The world is a better place because you are in it. You don't give in to petty things. You show people how to face the world with serenity, compassion and understanding.

Those trees are very lucky. :)

Not to de-rail the thread, but humidity in the UK is quite brutal. I have seen innumerable people who have come to the UK from overseas in the summer months, thinking we're just crying about nothing, and then realising what it's actually like. It is what happens if the Snowball army fails in its bid to conquer Hell.

Sephirah, I'm dancing on air!

Your words lifted me above my worries about my (birth) sisters and (possible) descent into dementia. My words are inadequate to express my gratitude.

Kellie, Sarah, Charlotte--I greatly enjoyed your discussion. Snow is forecast for tomorrow across the prairie. Ladies, these are the topics that matter most. Our love and support for one another. All of you, inspire me.

And, Sephirah, I will cherish your words all the days of my life.

Keep dancing in those flowing dresses that make you feel alive. And remember... closet space!

I don't know how you are with shoes, but... like... they are collectors items, apparently!

You've got this, Anni. Thank you for letting me see you smile.

Back to the weather.

The winter storm promised by the weather lady is yet to arrive. My greatest fear is the cold air following the storm will annihilate the lovely pink blossoms adorning my apple trees. Aesthetics aside, I love fresh apples and homemade hard apple cider.

So much is going on and almost all of it out of my control. So I decided to stop by and visit SP. Read a few posts, leave a few words behind. Greet some of my dear friends starting with, Kellie. Thanks, Kellie, and I'm so glad you're you!

We're all bound together by something profound and generally misunderstood. We will weather the storm together. If you're in the neighborhood come October, stop by for a sip of cider. Or a can of beer. Depending on how many apple blossoms still cling to the branches come Friday.
