A federal judge overseeing one of the cases against Donald Trump's second trans military ban has questioned inconsistencies between the ban and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's announcement that the military will be testing male servicemembers' testosterone levels and offering hormone replacement therapy to those who want it.
In a short order, U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes instructed both parties to respond to multiple questions so that the Court could "assess the impact of this newly announced policy." That included explaining "the [Department of Defense]'s basis for treating trans men and other service members differently between this new policy and the Military Ban."
The judge's order in the Talbott v. United States case came the same day that Senate Democrats sent a letter demanding more information on the screening program.
Both were responding to a video that Hegseth released on X announcing that he was "authorizing a new screening program for testosterone deficiency for our service members, ensuring you have the right testosterone levels to operate at your absolute best."
In her order, Reyes highlights the incongruity between the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) being offered by pointing out that the trans military ban states that "the Armed Forces must adhere to high mental and physical health standards... without the benefit of routine medical treatment or special provisions."

Hi Everyone
Okay I can't resist this post.
Pete Hegseth's is "hoisted on his own petard"
meaning his own argument, policy or strategy ends up undermining his own position.
Best Wishes Always

Yeah Sarah is right. This is a nonsense.
The sooner this group of unrealistic Trumplickers get to opening second rate shopping malls, the better. How do people have so little a benchmark for who they are as a human being?
Say it with me... money!
