A federal judge has ordered the Department of Homeland Security to return a gay man who was deported to a country that he is not from and which the US State Department says abuses LGBTQ+ people.

Ahmed Soliman, a 30-year-old gay man born in Egypt who lived nearly all of his life in Arizona, was captured by ICE and sent to Equatorial Guinea, where he was held in a hotel. He has no ties to Equatorial Guinea, but the country's corrupt regime has taken dozens of immigrants from the US in exchange for money.

"I'm fighting for my life," he said last month from the hotel in Equatorial Guinea. Cell phone videos from the hotel, where dozens of ICE detainees are reportedly being held, show Soliman holding his hands up while armed officers point guns at him. "Shoot him! Shoot him!" a woman can be heard screaming while another voice shouts, "No, no, no! What are you doing?"

But now District Court Judge John C. Hinderaker, whom Donald Trump appointed, ruled that DHS violated Soliman's due process rights and must return him to the United States. The judge said DHS "must ensure his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to Equatorial Guinea," the American Prospect reports.

There are 2 places for someone in power who forceably removes people to places where they face a high prospect of being killed.

The first is facing a court of law for crimes against humanity.
And then one day you stop to find,
10 years have got behind you,
no one told you when to run,
you missed the starting gun
