J.G.* entered a charge claiming the right of legal guardianship against the Institute of Social Insurance, ISS, a clinic and the IPS Melco's because these institutions were violating the rights to life and free development of their child's personality. According to J.G the institutions mentioned above refused to grant corrective surgical assignment to the five year-old minor because the child is suffering from true hermaphroditism. In other words, the child has an ovary and a testicle.
