Transgender youth are at far greater risk of bullying and suicide than gay youth. Broadly speaking they feel they were born into the wrong body. Their mind is one gender while their body is the other. Their struggles often are not discussed publicly for fear of how their will be treated.

Shawn Flynn and his parents talked with Fox 2 about Shawn's journey from female to male. Shawn was born a girl, but says he knew as young as 4 years old that his mind was not the same as his body. His mind was male and his body female. He battled depression and a desire to commit suicide.

I can't believe such a caring video towards a transgender man was on a Fox News affiliate and they got it right. This is a great story.

Actually it really doesn't surprise me at all.  Just because the Parent Company are A$$wipes does not mean that all Fox stations are.  We have one here in Portland, KPTV, who are really more open than Faux News.
