Alright so a little over a month ago(September 3rd of this year) me and a friend were being rather stupid and I ended up in the ER with a Type 3 Shoulder Separation on my right hand side, was put into a sling, and sent home. I was sent to a specialist and saw said specialist about a week afterwards, and he had told me that I could continue to wear the sling if I wanted but that it was not required and I should be fine a couple weeks and that he wanted to see me in a month. Welllll that couple of weeks has gone by and my shoulder not only still hurts like HELL but the pain has also begun to work its way into my neck as well. I'm not going to ask if anyone can tell me how to fix this because I wouldn't expect anyone who doesn't have all the schooling and licensing and who hasn't even seen the xrays to begin to tell me anything about it. Rather I would like to ask if anyone can give me some solutions as to how to get this damned pain to go away! Ibuprofen and other otc pain killers are out of the question because they have never worked for me for anything other than a headache, and I ran out of the Codeine/Ibuprofen script they gave to me a longgggg time ago. Icing it doesn't help, and the contraption my parents have to ice ones shoulder is rather large, bulky, hard to put on, and actually makes it hurt more when I wear it. It still is so useless though to the point where I have a constant dull pain in my neck and shoulder, and were I to actually use it I found I cannot get more than 3 pushups out of it where as I used to be able to push atleast 200. Any tips or tricks to try would be most helpful because this really does hurt and I want something to try to help ease the pain. Please and thank you very much. š
