Is it required to have Brazilian area laser hair removal of that lower area prior to getting

Unless you want a hairy vag it is a really good idea to be hairless 'down there'

Not, it is not a requirement. Yet some surgeons like/prefere to have a hair-free perineum.
Mine did not. Otherwise it is a matter of like or dislike.
I'm waxing these days (full Brazilian) and that is ALSO not a requirement :-)
I did it after about 5 weeks SRS...
