I've read this online but I can't seem to find any details on it. Does anyone know more information about this? If I could move to CA and have srs covered that would be pretty amazing =)

I am in California, and I believe that option is only available to those who qualify for Medi-Cal.

There are income limits - you basically have to be nearly indigent. San Francisco, however, has a City plan for covering SRS.

California is in the process of a big health insurance reform called Covered California (

) alternatively the California Benefit Exchange (
http://www.healthexchange.ca.gov/Pages/Default.aspx
🔗
) It's still in development and whether or not Transition services would be covered or not is unknown. My mom works for a private insurance company here in CA and she works with the Exchange and from what I gleam it's been difficult so who knows if it's 2014 deadline is gonna be exact.

for Medi-cal you have to be disabled or over 65 or blind then you can get the SRS through the current system. but like she said they are considering changes.
Medi-Cal income qualifier is $866 for one person more if you are married. It is also a lot of paperwork to get the SRS. and I am not sure which doctor they send you to.
