Label for genitalia

How is your relationship with your genitalia? Getting rid of my genitalia is what started my gender exploration.  One day I felt that I need to get rid of it.  Unfortunately until now I haven't processed the feelings and I really think that it is important for me to understand what is going on down there.

I found new acceptance lately where I thought that what if one doesn't call a male organ a penis and a female organ a vagina.  What if I am allowed to call my male organ a vagina?  Would that work?  For some reason I am feeling more accepting of my genitalia because of this naming.

Is it weird or do people form some kind of understanding to deal with not wanting their genitalia?

I'm more indiffernt than anything. It does'nt bother me too much. I either have a short penis for a guy or a big clitoris for a girl depending upon what mode I'm in. Or an "outie" instead of an "innie". 🙂

I like the vagina more than not, but I want the uterus gone, gone, gone! The hole is a sex toy to me; there when I want to use it, and easy to forget about when I don't. (Which is why I like the combination of flat chest + "innie" genitals so much. Nothing sticks out~)

I've been interested in coming up with a different name for the vag though. It just carries a lot of gendered baggage for me; reminds me a lot of second-wave feminism for some reason. I've heard "girl penis" get used, which I think is pretty darn adorbs, but adapting that for me just doesn't sound right: "human vagina"? I gotta think on it some more, lol.

😮 you're short a few holes there, but i might just be in a mood to split hairs. 

but as for what's between my legs, i haven't really decided what i think about them. sometimes i hate them, sometimes they are just there. don't really enjoy or feel proud of my extra appendage though. and as for naming it, eh, it's just not worth the trouble for me.

and for the op, it's your body, i don't see why you couldn't refer to it how ever you would like. people name their various parts all the time, and calling it a vagina is probably one of the less confusing references that someone might use.

Great so we have "outie" and "innie" which I never heard of before and I think it is quite descriptive and I really like "girl penis" which I love.  I don't like the girl/boy labels however I love how androgynous and non-binary "girl penis" sounds.

As for being my own body and I can call it what I want, does it actually help in accepting what down there more if one is more comfortable referring to it the way one wants?

That I have no answer for Metroland because like I said earlier, I've always been indifferent to mine. I could call her Marilyn, either Monroe or Manson depending on if I'm in male or female mode. Maybe even dress the little thing up but that would be wierd even for me, especially if I strarted having conversations with it. It would make a good horror story though.

Doesn't put any emphasis on which kind or any kind.

The more I accept myself, the less importance of what kind there is.

Pretty much sums it up for me, not that my body is dead or anything,
it just doesn't have the kind of importance it used to.

But I have always thought that we put too much importance on our parts.
Carry over from binary thinking perhaps, maybe not.
You can put a certain amount of emphasis on reproduction, but only so much.

I call the dangly thing a clitoris. It behaves more like one these days than a penis.

I also have a vagina. It's the underneath area between the lower pelvic bones. Unfortunately it is covered over by skin, a condition that I might have occasion to correct in the future.

What do I call the scrotum and testicles?

And I think... hmmm, that the scrotum is like... the vagina 'wrapped around' the clitoris and pushed to the outside instead of stuck on the inside? (not sure on this one, but I think the clitoris is more like the, ummm what is the English term for that... the 'swell body' inside the penis that makes it can erect itself (as a 'T-enlarged' clitoris does this too))
Does that make any sense?

Anyway, I just like to see my 'innie' and everything with it as an 'inside out' penis. 🙂

All scrotums have a line that runs front to rear, had the fetus remained a girl this would have split to form the labia majora and the testicles would never have descended but would have been the ovaries instead. The glands penis corresponds to the clitoris but sits atop a pedicle inside which houses the urinary tract, cowpers gland at the base of the penis which provides pre-lube for copulation, and the shaft itself which contains erectile tissue. Both the male and female genitalia share some commonality in design and purpose, chromosomes are the only determining factor that makes them different.

I went to this thing at a local sex resource center for trans people (they are very trans friendly). One of the things the said some women called it was a "strapless". You know there are strap ons. One woman even got this very sexy pink harness and put her junk in there. We also brainstormed names. I thought of "eggs" just thinking about it. But the penis and clit are really the same organs, so that you can just interchange the words. Not sure what the analogous organ is for the scrotum (mons?) not sure.

This is exactly how I think of it - I was BORN female just with a testosterone polluted body  - so my clitoris is enlarged and the urethra has been misplaced. everything is misshapen a little  that is all. I just need a surgeon to put it back - (don't think it will ever happen since I am EXTREMELY poor) but that is all.

These are really good suggestions.  I didn't know that there was such diversity in getting comfortable with what is down there.  The rigid process of naming the genitalia makes it more difficult to accept things.
