Last night's episode of RuPaul's Drag Race featured a contest many on Twitter are calling transphobic. The game, "Female or ->-bleeped-<-," pitted the contestants against each other in a quest to determine whether they were being shown a picture of — as RuPaul phrased it — "a biological woman or a psychological woman."
In announcing the name of the game, "female" was said in a higher-pitched tone, while "->-bleeped-<-" was said in a low, gruff, masculine-sounding tone. The contestants laugh as they guess whether or not the body part they're being shown belongs to a cisgender (nontrans) woman.

Some people will do anything for ratings and a cheap laugh - lowest common denominator grubs.

That is just wrong and it makes me sad to hear that this clown still goes at it.
I believe that this is the only way for him to stay in the spotlight now, making transphobic statements and actions, because he is a has-been.

Yesterday RuPaul and the producers of RuPaul's Drag Race released a statement addressing the 'Female or She-male' segment which aired last week on the show:
"We delight in celebrating every color in the LGBT rainbow. When it comes to the movement of our trans sisters and trans brothers, we are newly sensitized and more committed than ever to help spread love, acceptance and understanding," said RuPaul Charles, Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, Steven Corfe and Mandy Salangsang.

What a shame. Drag race is one of my favorite shows.
Though, to be fair, this isn't the first time he's been offensive to transpeople.
Look, I do not have a sugar daddy, everything I have I worked hard for if I wanted a sugar daddy, I could probably get one because I am what? Sickening you could never have a sugar daddy because you are.not.that.type. of girl I built myself from the ground up
