Desert cities proclaim LGBT equality, Transgender Day

PALM SPRINGS — The proclamation, presented July 1 during a city council meeting to John DiNapoli of Transgender Day of Remembrance Palm Springs, names November 20 as the day to remember the transgender people who have died as a result of transphobia and violence.
