Hooray for pokemon! glad to have friends on here to play with.

I'm currently playing alpha sapphire. If anyone wants to be friends just let me know. I only just beat norman so I"m only about half done with it so far.

The first game I played was Pokemon Yellow. I got it for my ninth birthday in 1999. Over the years I've also played Red, Blue, Silver, Crystal, Diamond and Platinum. Hopefully I'll be able to save enough money to get a new DS soon. Sun/Moon looks awesome. For a little while I was playing the old school PKMN games on playr.org but that site has stopped working for the past few days.  :-\

Love me some Poke'mon.  I've played every generation except for 5.  I also frequently play Showdown.
Higher, faster, further, more

Played most of the older Pokemon games in the past, have been trying out Go but since I work outside in the heat I really don't feel like walking around in it after I get off work.  This has led me to restart Emerald on my old DS so I can relax in the AC and have my nostalgia.

Every single pokemon game I've played has a tunnel or cave that is impossible for me to navigate.

@TardisGurl oh I love emerald. one of my favorite pokemon games and one with a more interesting storyline compared to ruby and sapphire. I feel ya on pokemon go though. I just really don't want to waste my time walking around. Luckily I've managed to get to level 8 with barely moving.

@Cin Well that's kind of the point of the caves. They are supposed to be hard to navigate. Using flash helps but not a whole lot. In RBY Mt. Moon is fairly simple to navigate. 2 big open dark floors with several smaller paths that are lit up. not too bad. Rock tunnel is where it gets harder as its 3 floors and they are long and dark. As the gens advanced, tunnels became a lot easier to navigate as they put lights in them or the areas were more visible. Gen 1 and 2 had it hardest with tunnels

I can navigate OK, but they have rock pokemon, which I can take out with water, but there are bats and trainers too, I haven't played in a while so I don't remember where, there is also a tunnel or forest kind of thing in crystal.

Yea it can be a bit difficult if you haven't played in a while
