total loss of appetite

It's been five days since starting my get and well, my appetite is gone. Just plain gone.
I figure ive eaten around 1500 calories a day for the past week which sounds fine but I work twelve hour nightshift with light/moderate lifting.

Surely hormones can't work that quick now can they?

If hormones do anything it's make you hungrier, not lose your appetite.
It's something else.

Definitely can't be hormones. My appetite hasn't changed at all, although I'm beginning to steer away from sweet things. My breakfast regime has changed from porridge or muesli, to eggs cooked in various ways with vegetarian sausages.

I think I have found out why.
I've experienced this before when I started on 5htp.
It's euphoria, a massively increased mood and a silent head cripples my appetite for a while.

It'll settle down soon. If it doesn't I'll find out why

   Since starting HRT I have also lost my appetite I work a 10 hour day as a mechanic and I cant eat nearly half of what I used to eat before and snacking is unheard of now, I have lost 20 pounds [9 kilos for those not fluent in arcaic measurement] in the last 2 months so, while for most hormones make weight loss difficullt for some of us it becomes inevitable so far my doctor is not concerned I feel great and have more energy than I have had in many years this is my experience YMMV

thanks for starting this thread, I've been wondering about this because I'm starting HRT soon and I have quite the appetite! I've been trying to control my weight and what I eat since February when I decided that I want to transition, and I wanted to work on weight loss first because I was close to 300lbs and I heard that it's harder to lose weight while transitioning. I will definitely keep an eye on this thread, please post updates!

Okay so update. I still have a total fullness, I only eat when I feel weak or light headed. Too early to ser any weight loss for me (I need to lose between 20-30 pounds) so ill keep you updated
